Average + We had a nice stay at Elk + Avenue, the staffs were all friendly and welcoming. The lobby and restaurant/bar are fresh and new, but the room was a bit run down with things not working (phone & iron) and the carpet was stained. On the positive side, the room was spacious, fridge worked well, comfy bed and nice pillows. You’re very close and to bars/restaurants so no long walks. This is an ok hotel for a few nights, but the rooms could do with a refresh.

Rooms need modernised + From the outside this hotel looks lovely. It is located a few minutes walk to the centre of Banff. Restaurant is amazing, great food. Coffee shop attached to hotel. Reception area is nice. Rooms - wow these need modernised, our curtains had holes in them, carpet was horrible, furniture was outdated and counter top was all cracked. Only chair was an uncomfortable red plastic one. Bathroom was clean but on our last night we had no water in the shower for over an hour. Would I stay here again? Probably not.

Feeling Ripped-off + One star for POOR HOSPITALITY. I booked one night for my husband and I. He got Covid so I had to cancel our travel. I canceled more that 3 days (over 36 hours) ahead of our reservation. Because we booked through Booking.com - they bounced us to them. Then Booking.com bounced us back to Elk + Avenue. Back and forth - I was confused about who was in charge. I called, emailed and begged for a refund or hotel credit - but no one would help me. They had more than enough time to re-book our room and lost no money at all. But they both lost my business. I am still trying to re-coop my $437.00.

Overpriced and over rated. + While high demand for a hotel in Banff during the summer dictates the price, there is little justification for such lousy service and a neglected property. It kills me to have to grossly overpay for rooms with no bathroom fans because the hotel “wants to be environmentally friendly”. This is nonsensical and is an easy excuse to avoid the necessary upgrades to get this hotel to earn even its mediocre three stars. But it did offer to sell to its guests non existent bathrobes (Maybe the attached pic shows where all the bathrobes went to). In addition to dated and poorly furnished rooms was a shower that didn’t work. When the room wasn’t cleaned, it was blamed on the door “make-up-the-room” hangar that “frequently turn around” to “do not make up the room”, according to hotel staff. More likely the plumber switched it around when he/ she was fixing the broken shower. Then the handset in the phone didn’t work because it had been unplugged. This hotel clearly ne…

+ IGAやメインストリートの入り口中にあり、様々なショップやレストランへのアクセスに便利で、ホテル内のレストランやコーヒーショップもあり、治安も良く夜騒がしくもなく安心してゆっくり滞在できました。 − 1日中ツアーをして帰宅するため、また息子との宿泊のため、ホテル内のサウナは一緒に利用できないので、室内バスタブがあるという点で宿泊を決めたのだけれど、実際の部屋はメゾネットタイプですてきでしたが、シャワーのみで残念でした。

Bad and run down rooms + We paid almost 700 CAD on weekday for one night. The lobby is pretty nice. The attached coffee shop is great. Front staff is helpful. You are in the heart of downtown Banff. The downside the room itself. The room looks really bad and run down, especially bathroom, it has broken door, mold on shower trims and rust and peeling paint. Pictures attached. I understand it's Banff, but I think for 700 CAD you should have better accommodation. I do not recommend staying there.

Quite satisfactory + Convenient location and spacious room. The toilette provided in particular shampoo and conditioners and liquid soaps are wonderful. − The sofa and chairs have some visible stains, but the beddings are very clean.
