+ This was a lucky find. More an inn with rooms than a full-on hotel. Everything about this place is quiet quality. Lovely staff, good food and service and very reasonable rates. A great location too with plenty of lovely gardens and villages to visit. We will definitely be back.

+ The Fox is an excellent B&B with attached first class dining. The staff were great about our late arrival due to M3 closure, phoning to get our breakfast order and being prepared to leave a key for us. Breakfast is one of the best in Winchester.

+ Large, very clean room. Comfortable bed and lovely bathroom with great shower. Nice toilet products to use. Plentiful, tea, coffee and biscuits provided as well as a small fridge with bottled water. Attractive restaurant with a good range of menu options. Ate there 2 nights and the food was very good. Some excellent desserts too! Breakfast was also very good and flexible options. All of the staff were very polite, helpful and always happy to offer advice on local area. Their breakfast manager was incredibly knowledgeable and even shared info on the best places to park n Winchester and how to get there etc. she was a font of knowledge and had guides galore to share. Highly recommend a stay in this lovely hotel in a quiet hamlet. There is a 2-3 minute walk to the small pond with ducks and herons if you want a gentle stroll too!
