Let’s get it together + The sports bar is the best spot at the resort! Francisco is THEE best!! He took care of us, made sure everything was top tier he’s my favorite at the resort!! Also shoutout to Frex, Rosmeln and Cesar—dream team crew Aside from the sports bar and coffee shop, the rest of the resort is lacking in customer service/hospitality and consistency with making it a welcoming environment. There is no food service poolside, you must walk to the grill and order food or sit down. I did both and sitting down took forever and it appeared they were unorganized—also the food was inconsistent. Burnt burger one day, cooked to perfection the next. The hostess’ at restaurants were not welcoming and the majority of the staff gave the feeling of “I’m just here so I don’t get fined.” At the quiet swim up bar, one of the bartenders used an alcohol I didn’t ask for, then he did the same when I returned and my sister witnessed—he also lied when confronted. For a secrets, I am highly disa…

The best kept secret! + I’m so glad I did my homework when picking resorts. Secrets was beautiful from start to finish. Our Butler Jesuri was amazing, very attentive, polite didn’t complain. Anything requested at any time of the hour HE MADE IT HAPPEN.

Lovely All Inclusive + Excellent all inclusive. Beautiful property and most if the food was excellent. There are a lot of activities to join in on if you like. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Relaxing, Well-Run Resort with Great Food and Entertainment + We had a great stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which really made a difference throughout our visit. The food was good with plenty of variety, and the restaurants were well run and enjoyable. The entertainment was fun and well organized, and there was always something going on. The pools were clean and relaxing, and the beach was beautiful and well maintained. Overall, everything was well managed and exceeded our expectations. The only small issue was that the preferred/restricted areas near the pool and beach were not clearly marked, which was a bit frustrating at times. It was easy to accidentally enter these areas and then be asked to leave. Clearer signage would make the experience even smoother.

Not recommended + Terrible restaurants. Only the buffet had good food. Shower cannot keep a constant temperature, always alternated between hot and cold. Below Hyatt standards from my experience. I preferred the other resort we stayed in Punta Cana.

Disppointing + We were really excited about this vacation before we got here but this property fell short of our hopes. The food was served cold at every meal and we could not get drink refills. I wonder if the staff was on vacation while were there. We did not feel like we got our money's worth. The staff we spoke to were not friendly and the management representative ignored us.

Don’t wait. Book this resort! + Can’t wait to go back. If you have been thinking about this resort book it now. The rooms, staff and resort are amazing. Food was on point! We had the best time and the staff made this trip Thank you Maria our butler, Felix our lobby preferred lounge bartender and Providencia at the lobby lounge. You made the trip so worth it.

A place you will cherish and remember for a lifetime. + The atmosphere at this location was truly awesome. The rooms were extremely clean and sanitation was maintained at a very high standard. The value for services was acceptable. Noise level was not a concern. The customer service by all staff was off the charts. Respect of guests was at a high level. The amenities at this location are excellent.

Great Getaway for adults + My wife and I checked in on Christmas Day and had a wonderful time! The decorations and property were beautiful and staff was very attentive and friendly without being pushy. The food and drink options were great as well.

Average + Overall the resort was beautiful and the employees were amazing. Francisco in the sports bar was the absolute best and such a hard worker, along with the rest of the staff throughout the resort. The food was not good and activities/music were boring, this is more of a place to relax. For the price and name just expected a little more.

A trip to remember + Secrets was a beautiful resort that me and my man got to make many rememberable memories at! The staff was super friendly and made our experience even better. We stayed there for a week and didn’t get to experience all the restaurants but our favorite was the italian restaurant. The resort is big enough to walk around where it doesn’t feel like you’re “stuck”. Lots of pools and chairs to choose from and such a gorgeous beach! The water was clean and blue. The gym was well maintained and had plenty of machines to choose from. As for entertainment in the day, it was fun. I do believe it is aimed more towards “older” folks but we still enjoyed it. There is no night club, which we always enjoy partying at but the pool tables made up for it. Overall, we loved this resort and would definitely recommend it to you! Thank you to the staff and members who went above and beyond to make our trip wonderful☺️.

Second Time, Third will be in the future + This was our second time at the Tides, had another great time. As before, the resort is beautiful along with all the staff! The weather was perfect which always helps the trip go well. The only small complaint we had was the food at most places were not warm and seemed dried out many times. I had read that in many reviews but our first time was better. Also Barefoot changed from semi-help yourself to sit down. we went there 3 times and had so many issues. The other way seemed to work better for us. The Food truck was new and was good. We still managed to survive!!!! What was very noticeable this time was all the interaction of the Entertainment team with the guests. We always enjoy their games around the pool areas and beach. They were able to get so many more people to participate, which made it fun. There was darts, corn hole, bowling, baseball, volleyball, cigar making, bingo, blackjack and many more. Some of the crew was led by Supe…

AVOID- Coercive and Threatening Treatment of Guests. + AVOID- Coercive and Threatening Treatment of Guests. We have travelled extensively and until this stay, never had a bad travel experience. This situation was shocking and deeply distressing. At check-in, the hotel highlighted a booking error (1 guest instead of 2). We accepted responsibility and agreed to pay the difference. However, they demanded an additional $1,750 USD, far higher than prices showing on reputable booking sites. This felt exploitative and unreasonable. Despite showing the cheaper online rates, the hotel refused to match them. They showed no empathy, laughed at us, and then began to show aggression when we hesitated paying. After prolonged pressure, they offered a so-called discount that was still significantly above market rates. Exhausted after more than 14 hours of travel, my fiancé agreed to pay - simply to resolve the situation. At that point, staff suddenly insisted we sign a waiver. When we asked why …

Christmas week at Secrets Tides + Stayed at Secrets Tides in preferred club from 12/21-12/26.I've been going to Punta Cana since the 90's and stayed at many different resorts from low end to high end. Secrets Tides was a disappointment to me and my family. I'll start with: Pros - beautiful resort, clean, modern, beach was nice, plenty of chairs by pool and beach, daily and nightly entertainment, our preferred club room was nice and butler was attentive, check-in was a breeze. Cons - staff was not all that attentive, many just standing around chatting with each other while I'm trying to get a drink. The restaurants in my opinion were terrible!!!! The service and quality of the food for a Hyatt property was very disapppointing! We were booked for a Christmas Eve reservation at the Oceanana and it took an hour and a half just to get a glass of wine and an appetizer. It was a pre-fixed menu and we did not even get the items that were listed in the menu. Had to ask for our wine multiple ti…

Nice place. Mediocre food. Robbed twice. + We visited for 5 days right before Christmas. Upgraded to the Preferred Club for the drinks, pool and butler service. The good: super nice property. Butler service was personalized and genuinely warm. Helpful. For example I was extremely underwhelmed by the powdered Tang they call orange juice at breakfast, said something to my butler and she arranged for natural juice for my stay. Appreciated that. The bad: pretty mediocre food all around. Breakfast got better with real juice, but most meals just felt uninspired - except the Peruvian restaurant which was excellent. Ugly: I gave my wife a new diamond ring for Christmas and after that she put her old ring in the gift box. My bad for not putting in the safe, but it disappeared from our room. Then on the last day the hotel arranged a car service to take us to the airport. That $250 service was overcharged by a factor of 10 ($2,500) absolute robbery and two weeks later there is…

The good and the bad + My wife and I stayed at Punta Cana Secret Tides over the December 2025 Christmas Break. We had a very good first impression when entering the property. Resort is new, expansive and clean. The room was fresh, clean and quite modern. The grounds and pools were amazing. However, there are some significant problems with this resort. The biggest is food quality. In this aspect, the resort has to do better. Chips and hot dog at the barefoot grill were very stale and old. The steak at the grill was so tough we could not cut it with steak knives, The bisque at the seafood restaurant was so uneatable that us and our neighboring table returned it. The Asian restaurant was okay (not great) and same with the buffet. The second largest problem was inter-department coordination and communication. Here, we saw a series of misses. The best example was on our first night. The front desk told us during check in that no reservations to the restaurants were required. We came to…

Best Inclusive Resort Yet + Our stay at Secrets Tides Punta Cana was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless, relaxing, and exceeded our expectations. Our butler Yulian absolutely made the entire experience. He helped accommodate our every need with so much care, attention, and professionalism, and consistently delivered far beyond what we ever expected. No request ever felt like too much, and he was always one step ahead, making sure everything was perfect before we even had to ask. His thoughtfulness, responsiveness, and genuine kindness made us feel incredibly special the entire stay. Yulian went above and beyond in the most meaningful ways, including surprising us with the most beautiful engagement setup with roses on the floor, bed, and in the hot tub, plus a “Just Engaged” banner on our door. It was such a heartfelt and unforgettable moment that we will cherish forever. If you are staying in the Preferred Members Club, request Yulian without he…

Secrets Tides Punta Cana + My wife and I are just returning from Secrets Tides having spent a week from 27/12/25-03/01/26. We both enjoyed ourselves very much and were happy with our choice of this Resort. We stayed in a Preferred Room on the 4th floor of building 1. Overall, the Resort is quite impressive being only 2 years old. It was very clean, modern and very picturesque. We spent most of our days at the Preferred Pool and yes, I did throw a couple of towels over chairs before going to breakfast in the morning. Although, our first day we had no trouble getting chairs around this pool without reserving them. We used the gym facilities every morning as well and found it to be a very functional and modern area. We don’t consider ourselves “foodies” in any way and did enjoy our meals at all the restaurants. Our best meal was at the Meraki where we just sat in the restaurant rather than trying to reserve the show at the Hibachi. We also really enjoyed the steak and lobster for N…

A lot of positives with just a few negatives. + My wife and I stayed in a master suite ocean view, swim out over Christmas and New Year’s. The room was the highlight of our trip. You have full sun from sun up till about 1 o’clock without having to go early morning to try to save chairs around the preferred pool. Probably the most negative thing of our trip was the layout or design of the resort. From our room to where most of the restaurants are was a 10 minute walk. Because of that, we only ate at the buffet one time. It was easier to order room service. Room service would get to your room before you could walk and walk back. That is another issue, communication/language barrier, trying to order a pot of decaf and regular coffee was never carried out correctly. We always ended up with one pot of coffee and one pot of hot water. Ordering a simple eggs over easy bacon and hash brown breakfast turned into a three course meal by the time they added fruit, rolls and sausage. Our opinion t…
