Clean and spacious hotel in a great location but unfriendly staff and very low grade breakfast. + Terrific location just out of Sapa town, a 5 minute walk down (10mins back given the hills). Rooms were really spacious and very clean. − Staff were less than friendly, some plain old rude, especially the man that was guarding the breakfast door. We were travelling with 3 children (7, 10 and 12) and one of the draw cards was the fact that the hotel had a pool but the pool is only open from 6am to 9am and then 4pm to 8pm. So during the day there was no option at all. The morning hours clashed with breakfast time for our family so we missed that slot and then usually of an evening we were out at dinner, so again missed that time slot. Pool is also so heavily chlorinated my kids had sore eyes and there was lots of rules about what you could not do - no jumping at all (guards on duty to ensure this is followed). The breakfast was OK but only just, very limited options and poor quality from …

Great location, good sized rooms. + Really nice hotel in a great location. The staff had good English, making check-in easy (we arrived at 6AM). − Breakfast buffet was loud, overly busy with so-so food options. Staff were ok, but not interested in the little things, like “can I get some black tea?” (no). They damaged our luggage and didn’t care at all.

Happy + Buffet breakfast, room was spacious, walking distance to central town, clean and helpful staff, nice views. − Limited pool hours, not open all day. Hilly walk home from central town.
