a homely fun pension experience with kind host. + we loved our stay at chaeul, the owner provided us with a bbq on request (25000 charcoal charge) and gave us homemade pajeon 파전 and local makgeolli 막걸리. in the evening he prepared a campfire and gave us marshmallows to toast! − some of the facilities were dated or not in use (swimming pool) but this did not effect our stay.

Mr.Kim is very kind & helpful. he drove us to a nice dinner restaurant & guided us to the ski shop. very happy + very nice & comfortable − you need a car to commute around here

A really relaxing peaceful break which is much needed. + It’s got a fantastic view of the mountain. The owner is very friendly,speaks English and accommodating. He even let me use laundry facilitates no charge. You can even bbq here and he will help you with d pit. When I arrived it was night time with no food and he gave me food supplies to cook at no charge. The town area is a bit of a distance but he will wither drive you there or help you call a taxi. I stayed there a week to get away from hustle n bustle of city n Seoul and absolutely enjoyed myself. − I got the ground floor unit by the main building so when other guests walk or make noise it’s a bit if noise. Not a problem when you get the other individual units or 2nd floor.

A beautiful mountain view & a welcoming host + If you're looking for a pension within the mountains with a beautiful view as well as a very welcoming and accommodating host, I strongly recommend this place. The pension is directly facing Geumdang-Mountain and the valley, and the surroundings couldn't have been more pristine and peaceful. When I asked him for some recommendations regarding local taxi drivers through this app, he offered me to pick me up from Pyeongchang station without me asking for it. Right after pick-up, he gave me a tour of the area and also took me to a fantastic restaurant serving trout sashimi (송어회) when he found out that I hadn't eaten lunch yet. He also gave me a different room with a balcony without additional charges instead of the one I had booked when I told him that I came especially for the mountain view. Throughout my stay, he did his utmost to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. The room was clean, comfortable, and very spacious for a single person.…

Loved this place a lot (but get a car) + It is such a beautiful place, very quite and surrounded on all sides by the mountains. I was very lucky with the weather and could enjoy the beautiful views. The host was very friendly and helpful - you can honestly ask him anything. Even to get you from the train or like he did for me, bring me to the train station. Very yellow sunflower room was appriciated. − Does bring me to another point... It's waaaay smarter to go here by car. That way you can visit more places. Not my finest travel planning moments. But we live and we learn.

Super Friendly Hosts and beautiful stay. Well liked by whole family. + Superb host. Superb stay. Excellent facilities with snooker and campfire . Kids loved the place. Ample parking . Host made superb coffee. Very beautiful and serene place within plantations. Will surely return. Been travelling in Korea for 10 days but this is the best stay.

+ The host was very friendly, kind, and welcoming. I hope we will see him again. We enjoyed many chats and tasting the 오이고주. The room was comfortable and clean, with an amazing view of the mountains, and a really cozy, family atmosphere.
