Ideal location for a visit to Komodo Island + We had a great stay at Plataran while visiting Komodo Island. Staff was very helpful in arranging activities and helping out if anything. In many respects this was as close to paradise as you get. Should i point out two small improvement areas it would be the food meny which is not to exciting (in particular for a resort where the nearest outside restaurant is quite far away) and that the staff could have been slightly more proactive when it came to taking orders by the pool area and the beach. That aside we had a phenomenal time.

+ Staff could not do enough for you. The villa was clean, excellent location. Located in a secluded area - 10 minutes away from town area. Staff were magnificent, helpful and cheerful. Food at the bistro and restaurant were good.

+ While the staff was lovely, we had a bed bug issue. Over night, we got bitten all over our bodies. I'm still suffering from the bug bites and they have left scars all over my body.

+ Quiet and relaxing. Really nice villas. Probably the nicest place in Komodo. Staff should probably pay a little more attention to picking up trash along the beach. Also, one of the 2 paddle boards was broken

Beautiful hotel, exceptional service + The hotel is beautiful. There are only a small number of rooms so it feels so calm and quiet. The perfect place to relax.

+ We stayed in Plataran resorts in Borabadur and Labuan Bajo. The rooms and facilities are outstanding. The food and service are good. This is an excellent jumping off point to go to Komodo island marine park. The only thing to keep in mind is that you can't walk into the water off the beach because of crabs.

+ Rooms are lovely. But the resort is tired. The beach not quite swimmable. We only stayed one night, but the checkin process was annoying. It tried to be a five star process but we had to pull up confirmation emails, sign forms and it took a while. Then they wanted to do a 5 minute spa presentation. We declined and asked to be taken to our rooms. It was too much. The effort is there but that same effort is awkward.

+ This is an amazing property with fab services. The location is stunning and the whole property is really tastefully designed and decorated. The facilities are beautiful and we enjoyed the restaurants, barbeque evening, kayaking, snorkeling, and personalized services. Would love to return in the future.

Amazing property and seculsion with fantastic team + Amazing private and beautiful property. Service level is very good. Accommodations, facilities (such as on site snorkelling, kayaking etc) and phenomenal spa. Food at the the restaurants could be a lot better (particularly for lunch/dinner/snacks variety offered, price and in only the big seafood platters quality) whilst breakfast is great - I say that having stayed at their sister property where we didn’t need to leave the resort to eat, here we did. Getting into and out of town is a pain and quite expensive; which compounds the food problem.
