Rockingham Arms never disappoints - we had great weather so also enjoyed the outside space. + We ate in the restaurant that evening and then breakfast on our departure day. The meals were reasonably priced and good pub food.

Stay ok. Would not eat there again + Comfy Room although right by main road − The food was bad! Bad quality especially the breakfast. Bacon dirty from unclean fryers

+ We were part of a wedding party and the barn for the group was good. The staff were all polite and helpful but seriously stretched at times. Our room was nice but expensive for what it was. − Not enough staff at times especially when we were all booking into our rooms. External areas need attention. It's been a hot summer but the private venue garden really needed some work on it and tidying up.

The room was nice. Village lovely, breakfast a disaster . Pub good atmosphere in the evening + Rooms are over a busy road from the pub. Room was large, clean, massive bed. Is was hot, no aircon. However it was not the room advertised on booking.com. As I wasn’t shown to the room just given the key. I didn’t wanna go back over the road and explain the room wasn’t as advertised. It was not a problem because we didn’t need the sofa. And only stayed one night. − The full English breakfast was terrible. I only ate the eggs and toast. Other guests were also complaining. One staff member on and we had to ask for everything nothing was thought about or just lazy way of running the breakfast room. Crockery wasn’t clean greasy finger prints on side plate. Bare minimum condiments which ran quickly out butter yoghurts milk juice. Everything had to be ask for. Which was a pain. Which is why we wouldn’t stay again.

Delightful. Owners and staff were super friendly and helpful. A really lovely team. An enjoyable stay. + Delightful spacious and comfortable room. Had more amenities than some of the larger chain hotels which was a pleasant surprise. Dining - Good menu choice and enjoyable. − Nothing I didn’t like but quirky that the rooms were across the road from the pub and restaurant, so having to negotiate busy road, especially in the morning, kept you on your toes! There was a slight musty smell in the room, and the carpet was wet under the roadside window, due to an evident ingress of water from somewhere, which was reported. (There had been a recent downpour which could have been the cause). I did not need to use that side of the room anyway, and it did not spoil my stay. I have no doubt the owners will have investigated following my departure and attended to remedy.

+ The room was basic containing a double bed and a sofa bed the sofa bed mattress needs replacing as you could feel the bars underneath..the breakfast was good and plenty of choice to fill ya boots. − Some of the staff seemed a bit odd not knowing what food you have ordered

for the money not worth the money at all + location was good and was quite. bed was comfy − wasn’t clean had mould in bathroom nd a lot of mould, cobwebs in corners so had two huge spiders and round radiators were covered in dust so clearly hadn’t been cleaned for a while. breakfast after ordering came and told no brown bread no black pudding. key card didn’t work when we returned from breakfast had to walk across road to get sorted.

An ideal stop off point to recharge the batteries. + It was full of character on the outside and the location was lovely in a very quaint little village. − There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like about the property.
