+ Great location on the beach. Good range of breakfast menu options and helpful staff in the restaurant. We organised our onward trip to Koh Tao with reception and this turned out well. Overall, our famiily of 4 had a great stay.

Fantastic resort + Amazing views and great value for money. We have been to Haad Yao beach many times. Bay view offers the best rooms and best value for money. The rooms are extremely clean and are a great size. Perfect for what we needed. We were only due to stay for one weeks but ended up staying for two and a half weeks.

Very bad service + We went for an evening meal and was ignored by the staff for ove 30 minutes. The waitress latterly trew 2 menus on our table there was 3 of us and walked away. We waited and waited while the 3 waiting staff chatted and the guy behind the bar smoked cigarettes. We got up and left I spoke to the waitress and explained why we were leaving she responded with Ya and walked away. Sorry to say we will not be back.

Please don’t book this place + Once upon a time there was this lovely resort… When you arrive at the resort from a certain safe distance you think this is so lovely. But then after speaking to the lovely lady (not!!) behind the reception reality kicks in. This lady is extremely grumpy. There was no excuse whatsoever from there side. Apparently we were overbooked she said. At first she was telling us there was something wrong with my creditcard and that they couldn’t charge my creditcard. Which is weird because everything is working fine. This was an absolute lie. The only option they gave us was sleeping in a dorm or one of there guests houses because all the other options were fully booked. We had a terrible night sleep at this place. It was extremely moldy, and electricity was not working properly. The next day we could finally check in at the resort and go to our superior bungalow with sea view. We definitely had sea view, no doubt about that. But the superior part was missing com…

Great place, Friendly staff, Good prices + Haad Yao beach has become one of the best walking/swimming/nightlife beaches on the island, and Bayview sits right at its North end. You get a beach resort experience -- pool, restaurant, convenience store, and frequent room cleaning -- all for a guesthouse price. I have stayed at Bayview many times, and I always return. The views from some of the rooms are magnificent! Prices fluctuate quite a bit by demand (e.g. higher during Fullmoon parties) but if you keep this in mind, it is possible to work with staff to secure good deals.

Queen ole + Ole is one of the nicest person on the island she will take care at any if ur problems The rooms are minimal and great, view is outstanding and the staff are very nice I had a great vacation here and will be sure to come back

Lovely hotel and best location on the island + excellent hotel! Very convenient location! Delicious breakfasts! Friendly staff. Regular cleaning. This is the best area of the island, you can stay here without leaving, everything is there: restaurants, swimming pools, discos, massage, snorkeling

Beware of freedom tattoo close to resort + I was robbed and chased with a sword and then a knife and the resort staff refused to call the police. Be very cautious this man drinks uses drugs and offers free booze to travellers. He has weapons he is on the only trail that leads to the resort. Please be aware and i strongly urge travellers who stay here to go to the police of they have any incidents this man is very dangerous and unpredictable. The resort had good food though and rooms were clean.

+ Haad Yao area is wonderful. But the hotel has issues. Not the end of the world if you stay here but do your research. There are much better options. PROS: Haad Yao bay is lovely/swimmable/safe. Rooms are clean. Nice breakfast for 150 Baht. Nice views. Decent price. CONS: Bayview Hotel is 12 stories and no elevator. Wanna go to the beach? You gotta plan/pack like it’s a day trip. Rooms are decent at best. Staff are rough around the edges, stressed. Not the end of the world if this is your only option. Do not worry about the severely bad 1 star reviews, but also you should ignore the 5-star reviews. This is a real 3-stars. Hope this helps :)

Thailand adventure + I know the hotel wont reply to this review, as they haven't replied to any others. Upon arrival, we were told by reception that they never received our booking but when i showed them confirmation, they said they just received the email but the room we booked was not available until the next day so we had to stay in another room which was not as nice. The hotel needs to look deeply at their staff, they are rude, unhelpful and never smile. It is such a shame as the hotel is in a perfect position but visitors dont appear to want to eat or drink there. Also, be aware that if you ask reception to arrange transfer back to the ferry, they will leave you waiting for half hour. I will definitely return to Haad Yao but not this hotel

Hade valt ett annat hotell + Helt okej hotell vid få nätter, det är många jobbiga trappor. Sängarna var helt ok. Personalen hade ingen service minde över huvud taget. Stranden i övrigt är helt fantastisk, finns några härliga restauranger!!

Kicked me out + The stuff manger kicked me out because i told her that someone from the hotel took both of my pants that was outside to dry . The manger didn’t even want to listen and after I left she wanted to kick me out at night. Worst service don’t recommend..

+ Great hotel all in all. Our room was good, the staff were awesome. It was convenient have two stores on site and the restaurant was awesome and good pricing. Breakfast buffet included was definitely a bonus

Non honest management + My son and friends made a reservation through Booking and paid a head but once they have arrived to the hotel, they realized that because of the stip location, one of them can’t get there. When they spoke with the hotel manager he promised to cancel the reservation and return the money. However, the money has not been returned.

Worst Dump in Thailand + DO NOT GO THERE… The woman at reception was rude and abusive to everyone who approached her about problems with the hot water in their accommodation, when we got there we were told our Beachfront room we booked 6 months earlier was being renovated so we could have one 6 flights of stairs up which was Backpacker accommodation at best, when asked why they didn’t contact me she said she emailed Booking .com which I asked to see the email, which she couldn’t. We refused to stay there and while waiting for our ferry back to Koh Samui we went for a walk and noticed The pool was green and filthy, I asked the Barman if he could make a drink and he just shook his head and said he had no ingredients for a cocktail. We were promised a full refund but we we tried they declined.. still fighting with Booking.com to get refund.. WILL NEVER GO BACK.

From nice hotel to party hostel and a careless negligent management + I have been a regular guest at this hotel for about three years and always stayed for long periods of time, usually one to three months. Until now, I genuinely loved this place and recommended it to others. Unfortunately, this stay completely changed my opinion. I booked and paid for 26 nights but checked out early with 11 nights left because the situation became unbearable. Out of those 15 nights, there were serious noise disturbances during 9 nights. The main issue was repeated late-night noise caused by different guests. Groups and individuals were loud at night, talked outside, played music, had phone and video calls, slammed doors and ignored quiet hours. I tried addressing them myself, which resulted in being ignored, laughed at or treated disrespectfully. This felt unsafe and uncomfortable. O course I also tried addressing this to the reception multiple times and reported it repeatedly, but there was never…
