First time to Puerto Vallarta + My family and I stayed at the Sheraton Buganvilias from April 2 to 13. Check in was relatively quick. We then met with another staff member that explained how things worked, with booking reservations for dinner and showing us things on the map. Prior to arriving I had reached out to the resort asking that we not be talked to about time shares. This was acknoledged when we checked in, but a staff member still talked to us about the timeshare. For the most part, we enjoyed our time at the resort, but found that there was not much for our teen to do for activities as most of them were geared towards kids, who could go to Sheratoons and adults who could do a variety of things, like aquasize or a different alcohol tastings depending on the day. We found that the buffet was limited in the selection during the week, with the exception of the Sunday brunch. Avoid the Sheraton Buganvilias + The room on the RCI page is a renovated room, ours was not. We asked for a room with a balcony, they showed us one on our floor, but said we could only have it if we canceled our plans and did their presentation the next day. We said no. Then they called our room and we said no. Then they literally stopped us on the sidewalk and we said no. The first night (during the World Cup) we learned than just below our windows is a huge nightly party. They can't control that I suppose, but I think they put us here for saying no. All of the staff here, except the sales staff, have been great. The food is hit or miss. I think our trust in RCI is shot, and we will stay away from Sheraton from now on.

Great staff and really nice clean hotel + Isabel went above and beyond at the pool bar. My wife got sick one day and was in the room, when she heard she sent a special drink to help her recover. She took care of my family every day at the pool. Excellent staff and a great place to relax.

me sentí estafado por el tipo de cambio utilizado en la administración al llegar. + no consumí nada en el hotel − que me hayan cobrado mi reservación hecha en Booking y por lo tanto en USD a un tipo de cambio de 20 pesos por USD, me parece un exceso, su hotel no es barato y ese detalle me costó cerca de 10000 pesos solo al llegar.

Arruinaron mis expectativas, bueno sin ser extraordinario + El servicio es excelente y todo el personal muy cálido. En restaurantes,bares y playa simpre muy atentos . Mis agradecimientos a todos por hacer de esta estancia algo placentero. Lastima que no pueda decir lo mismo de recepción , pues al ingresar y retirarnos son mal encarados y fríos. − Al ingresar te mienten y te dicen que debes ir con la concierge para reservar amenidades y no es mas que una estafa. Esta persona va a querer venderte un paquete con mil engaños pretendiendo de aceptes " beneficios" y tratara de obtener tu información personal. No caigan. Que desafortunado que en lugar de dejarte instalar y por ti mismo decidir si quieres información de esa membresía te quiten el tiempo con su engaño. Por lo demas todo bien pero por este simple hecho no volvería. Hay opciones en este mismo precio sin que te traten como que te estan haciendo un favor ,lo digo por la tipa del lobby que en el check out hace caras. Tal parece que…

Beautiful hotel, great staff, slightly outside of the bustling city centre + The hotel was so beautiful, lovely layout. The staff were really helpful and friendly and tolerated by terrible spanish but spoke great english. The breakfast was great and they have a resident falcon which was really special. I loved my stay there and was sad I wasn't able to stay longer. − The corridors were quite echo-y so you could hear people running down the corridors and hear people shouting/talking, but other than that, I have no complaints.

Magnifica estancia, un verdadero descanso. + Las camas, las almohadas, la configuracion del cuarto, excelentes, permite descansar excelente. − La playa tiene mucha piedra, quizás pueda limpiarse un poco mas, así como el talud hacia el mar es fuerte, dentro de lo posible se podría trabajar para que fuera mas docil e instalar boyas y una cuerda de seguridad para turistas principiantes.

Do Yourself a Favor and Book the Massage! + My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Maiavé Spa at Sheraton Buganvilias Resort in Puerto Vallarta. We booked a couples massage, and it was exactly what we needed! I prefer a lighter, more relaxing touch, while my husband prefers a stronger massage, and they customized each massage perfectly. A very special shout-out to Gabriela and Luz, who were incredible massage therapists. They listened to what we each wanted and made the entire experience relaxing from beginning to end. The spa itself is beautiful and peaceful, smells AMAZING, and immediately puts you in relaxation mode. But what really stood out was the staff. They were some of the nicest, sweetest, and most genuinely welcoming people we have ever interacted with. The level of care and hospitality made the experience even more special. Great resort hotel with a minor inconvenience. + We love the security and hospitality the location offers. The staff and the amenities are top shelf. − We’ve been here several times and they keep hitting us up with the time share sales. I’ve heard it once and don’t want here them badgering me about it.
