A little treasure + The location is perfect for everything you need. Walking distance from everything essential, food, pharmacy and transport. The room itself (clean and great space) was looking over the river and greenery and made it so restful. Staff were very kind and helpful. They made the stay the best.

Beautiful location, next to the river. + Very nice hotel. Convenient location and nice view from the room. Restaurant that is located on the top floor makes your breakfast a special time. Hotel Staff very friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel for everyone who travels to Aguas Calientes.

Interesting stay - raging waters and an efficient elevator + We had one night here and overall were happy with our stay. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the station if you are dragging a heavy bag, though once you're there you are surrounded by lots of restaurant options. It is also quite busy - at times it looked as though the foyer couldn't cope with all the hotel guests. Our room was on an upper floor, clean and spacious and we were very pleased there was an efficient elevator - not something we always encountered in hotels in Peru. The bed was comfy, wifi was good, as was hot-water supply and breakfast excellent. It rained heavily during our stay and below our window was a thundering torrent of a stream that runs through the centre of town. Closing the window did reduce the noise level significantly if not completely but after a while the sound of the tumbling waters did provide a constant, pleasant backdrop.

Would not recommend! + Honestly of all the hotels we used for our travels across Peru this was by far the worst. We were given a twin room on the ground floor. Facilities are very basic which would be ok, but firstly the smell of damp knocks you out on entering the room. Everything is cold (the window doesn’t shut properly) so not only cold and damp, but super noisy due to the ferocious river just outside. Even the toilet roll was damp to touch. The bed was clean, but the sheet didn’t fit properly and actually came off the mattress (which is just gross) while sleeping. I had to sleep fully clothed. Breakfast was very basic. Absolutely would not recommend.

Front desk employees are scammers with a local spa + I stayed here for one night with some friends and did the day trip up to Machu Picchu. We returned to the hotel on Wednesday March 25 at 12:00 and encountered Lorena at the front desk. After we got back, we asked to the front desk for a recommendation for a massage. The person working at the front desk was named Lorena and she recommended Amaya Inka Spa. Someone from the spa came and got us and we went and when we asked how much the cost was for 3 one hour foot massages she told us it was 50 soles each, 150 soles total. I pulled up my phone on my currency converter and I showed her in Peruvian currency 50 soles just to confirm the price and she agreed. After the massage was over she told us it is $50, or $150 USD. I asked her to call our hotel for some assistance and between myself, Lorena, and the Katherine at the massage place we were able to negotiate the price of 80 soles each or 240 soles total. We paid her in cash which sh…
