The perfect place to land + An absolutely beautiful hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. This is the perfect place to stay after a long flight or if you have a day before you go. There is a spa, a gift shop, and a pool. They will even do your laundry. The food is fresh and delicious

In all it was a helpful stay as it’s close to the airport . Husnah was wonderful + Husnah was fabulous , so helpful , so happy , made the stay here really welcoming ! The trucks pounding along the road was a problem while having dinner and trying to relax in the pool area .. so loud and disturbing . If music was playing on the background this would help .

Eliminate the worry! + We spent the night before our flight home to Chicago here. It was perfect. We are always nervous the night before, wanting to be sure we have a ride to the airport, a good night’s sleep, and something good to eat before airport food. Airport Planet Lodge delivered on all three. Facilities were great, but even more important to us, was the attentiveness and professionalism of the staff. We would definitely recommend this lodge and would stay here again.

Nice stay in Kilimanjaro + Airport Plante Lodge is a very good way to begin your trip in Africa. Comfortable rooms, a spa for a massage and a good restaurant. Most important thing: the staff are very nice. I really liked my stay.

Perfect stay + We stayed here 1 night, after our long international flight and before our flight to Seronera (Serengeti). I scheduled transfer to the hotel through the hotel and they were waiting right outside the arrivals door with a sign with my name. The driver drove us the 5 minutes to the hotel where we were met with welcome drinks and checked in. We were assisted to our room, which was clean and comfortable. For our transfer back to the airport, the driver was prompt and dropped us off with no issues. I would stay here again. Everything was clean and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

Fabulous stay + After our 10 day safari on the Serengeti, we spent our last two nights at the Kilimanjaro Planet Lodge. This is a peaceful oasis from some of the chaos outside,beautifully modern rooms, a nice pool and tropical gardens. The food was top notch, but what makes this place really special was the people who really understand service quality. We felt like the only guests here and staff were very attentive helpful and professional.

Great lodging near Kilimanjaro airport + Surprisingly nice spacious and elegant lodge with high security walls and gate. Has airport shuttle vans. Nice large dining and lounge area. Expansive breakfast buffet with egg station. Clean large pool. Large room with bed mosquito netting - not needed. Modern bathroom. TV, wi-fi and cell disabled by government due to election violence. Great service and clean facilities. 15 minutes from Kilimanjaro airport. We hired $25 taxi at airport after 11:00 PM delayed landing. Roads under construction near airport, be prepared for dirt road driving.

A welcome respite when our flights were delayed + A beautiful resort with friendly helpful staff, delicious food and a great pool! The rooms are clean and the AC was a welcome addition. I would highly recommend.

A little bit of paradise off the main road + The lodge is a little bit of paradise right off of the main road. They are doing major construction on the main road so it can be noisy, but we did not hear anything in our room. The room was comfortable, and luckily the air conditioning worked. There is a nice little sitting area on the patio outside of the room but the room itself only had one chair at a desk. There are many places to sit outside, all nicely shaded. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We had dinner and breakfast here and both were very good. Breakfast was included, but the dinner was à la cart. We did use the pool and the water was a nice temperature, but there was a lot of pollen and dust floating on top of the water. We appreciated the airport shuttle service.

Very comfortable hotel in a good location. Recommended + Only a short ride from JRO, Airport Planet lodge is a great choice after (or before) a long journey. We arrived late in the evening and the staff were very firendly and welcoming. The kitchen was still open but after a cold beer we were ready for bed. Our double room was clean andspacious with a comfortable bed and air conditioning. The shower had plenty of power. There was balcony with a seating area but we didn't have the chance to use it. Our room was close to reception but was quietThe following morning we enjoyed a good breakfast before our check out. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful spot. Clean rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Tegemea was our favorite waiter! + What a charming spot and the proximity to the airport is perfect for those late night arrivals. Our shuttle was waiting for us when we walked outside. We had a seamless 3am check in and were thrilled to have a hot shower and comfortable bed to ease our travel weary bodies

Perfect Layover Escape Near Kilimanjaro + I flew into Kilimanjaro at noon with a long layover until 1:25 a.m., and this hotel was a lifesaver. They offer convenient day rooms from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., plus options to book a room with swimming access or add on dinner. Having a comfortable space to rest, swim, and recharge made my layover so much less hectic. The setup was perfect, and the staff made everything easy. Honestly, it turned what could have been a stressful wait into a relaxing break. Highly recommend—it was awesome!

Good service + Service and food are both great. We had booked a late flight and had to stay at the hotel for a few hours. The waiter serve us with free pop corns and waited on us attentively.
