Endroit splendide pour passer quelques jours en harmonie avec la nature. + Nous sommes tombés sous le charme de la splendide piscine à débordement. Elle est grande et très bien conçu, nous avons l’impression de nager dans le ciel. L’endroit est très bien entretenu, le lieu est très calme et reposant. Le lieu est situé à l’écart de la plage et des villes ce qui lui confère une atmosphère particulière et très agréable. Immersion au milieu de la faune et de la flore. Le personnel est à la disposition des clients, le service est de qualité. Petit plus pour la salle de gym dans la canope de la jungle (quelques poids libres, banc, tapis et vélos). − Nous n’avons pas été conquis par le service de restauration du site. Attention plusieurs charges additionnelles sont à prévoir en supplément au moment de payer l’addition (service + TVA).

Hope it improves because it’s got the potential to be an amazing boutique hotel + The pool and the views over the lake are stunning! I stayed in a villa with a pool and the villa itself is really clean and spacious − The restaurant service is extremely slow and waiters don’t seem to know the menu and tend to disappear during your meal. Even though there were max 4 groups of diners eating at any point the service was extremely disappointing and trying to order additional drinks took so long it wasn’t worth the wait! We raised our issue with the manager who admitted they were short staffed but still due to the amount of waiters (approx 2) to the number of guests it didn’t really explain why service was so slow. The plunge pool with our room wasn’t heated and was constantly in the shade due to the position so we never used it during our stay The setting is pretty remote and you have to go through very bumpy roads to get into the town

Peaceful, amazing setting once there! + Wonderful setting once the journey to the location is finished. Lovely gardens and pool area. So much potential to be a fabulous place, which with new owners should be achievable. Food is great and good value. Staff are trying so hard to deliver good service but need some training and more resources. Very peaceful! The response I received from CEO was genuine and acknowledged by fair feedback. This was much appreciated. − Rooms were tired and need a lot of care and attention to bring them up to the pictures on the website and the price that the previous owner charged. I can’t comment on current offers. I felt sad to visit at a time when I could see how wonderful it could be, but probably won’t go back to experience the future regeneration as there are so many other places I want to visit.

Peaceful luxury in a calm and beautiful paradise + Beautifully set besides Lake Koggala, with well-maintained gardens and grounds. This is a real respite for calm and relaxation away from the busy coastal road. Our room with private plunge pool was a real sanctuary to unwind. Nice tasteful design of mid-century Tropicana throughout the hotel (it looks better than the photos here, with some areas clearly being recently renovated). Clean throughout and well maintained. As always, it’s the people who make travel what it is and the staff at the hotel, during our visit, was impeccable. The management team as well as all the bar & restaurant staff were all super friendly and attentive (shout out in particular to Jayantha and Sandun), making our visit feel special. − Having to leave! I must admit, just before coming we were a little apprehensive following some recent bad reviews. I am quite perplexed at these as our visit was flawless. You need to have lot of patience if you are going to stay here. + Great location, and some staff (Chamika, as far as I remember, and the F&B supervisor) are trying their best to do the job. The lake suites are relaxing. − 1. Staff: Other than the 2 people I have mentioned, these people are clueless. We were shocked to see that it is a Teardrop property. The check-in took 1 hour. No one paid attention, so we had to ask 'Are you guys going to do anything about us or not?' 2 . Quality of the property: Bathrooms are not cleaned properly, and the property needs maintenance. Initially, we booked a tower room, but the window broke down, and the AC was not working properly either. So we had to request another room.

− Unfortunately it is an unsafe place, my wife got severe head injury and lacerations, she had several stitches. It all happened after we have visited the roof ( their employee recommended us to go there), when going down the stairs she grabbed the chain for support and a piece of concrete fell on her head from the roof! The funniest thing - hotel management blamed us for what happened from the beginning. Cannot recommend! (Trying third time to attach some photos).
