Will definitely be back + This is the second time that we have stayed at The Sanctuary Hotel New York. They are wonderful!! The hotel is beautiful, the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The housekeeping staff did a wonderful job keeping our room clean and tidy and keeping us stocked with fresh linens. We got the small room but it was perfect as we only needed it to sleep. This hotel is extremely nice for the price. We can go to New York without breaking the bank and stay in a beautiful hotel that is at the center of everything.

Clean, great location, few hiccups + Nice hotel I would stay at again. Great location close to Times Square and theaters, super easy walk from Penn Station. Room was clean and staff was very polite. Didn’t notice much noise (on the 5th floor). A few complaints: our one window was frosted over & facing an alley (? I think, it was hard to see through it!) so no sunlight whatsoever in the room. Pitch black in the morning! Check in took a pretty long time. Partially because a few of the parties in front of us had issues with their reservations and partially because they only had one person checking people in at first, even though it was check in time. The $25 credit toward food is a little useless if you’re staying one night like I did. By the time we finally managed to check in, we didn’t want to linger around the hotel any longer, we wanted to get out there! And the places we could use it at the hotel didn’t stay open late, and we couldn’t use the money the next morning. I’m sure a…

Amazing Experience. + I stayed here last week with my Mother, She yearly comes to visit me in New York and we always stay in different hotels. The Sanctuary Hotel was our favorite so far. The location is perfect, and the Hotel has a very Classy and clean look. All the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Jhona is so so sweet, she checked us in and her warm genuine energy made us immediately feel super welcome. I truly recommend this Hotel.

− I paid almost $200 for birthday decorations and a birthday cake only to get to my room to find it empty. Then when I spoke to the manager he told me “ they have the decorations and cake we just didn’t decorate it. “ with the price of the service I expected more, just seems unprofessional to have the necessary materials available and still not fulfill the service that was paid for.

Romantic Birthday Weekend + We truly enjoyed our stay at the Sanctuary Hotel in New York. We travelled there to see Bruno Mars at Metlife Stadium on August 22nd 2026. It was about ~20-25 minutes walk from Penn Station and was located right in the thick of Times Square. Upon arrival, check-in was smooth and pleasant. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. When we arrived, our room was beautifully decorated with a happy birthday sign and colorful balloons which was included in our prepaid birthday package. We also had a large piece of strawberry cheesecake and a chilled bottle of champagne waiting for us. I was very satisfied with this purchase. My boyfriend loved it and it really made him feel special on his birthday. We definitely took advantage of the $25 dollars a day food/beverage credit at the Haven rooftop and let me tell you the food was fabulous! Volgende bezoek NYC, voor ons weer Sanctuary Hotel! + Locatie is perfect. Heel dicht bij Timesquare, eigenlijk heel centraal gelegen. Lopend kun je al veel zien en de bezienswaardigheden bereiken, anders pak je een metro vlakbij gelegen. Het personeel is vriendelijk. Je wordt begroet als je binnenkomt door de doorman of door iemand achter de receptie. Ook de mevrouw die de kamers schoonmaakt was altijd vriendelijk. De kamers zijn prima, bedden lagen goed en de kamer (611) die wij hadden was geluidstil wat erg fijn was in een levendige stad als New York. − /

+ Great location, right in the doorstep of Broadway, Times Sq and so close to many other things. I didn't have a street facing room, so there was no noise either. When you enter the hotel through the wooden doors you are hit by the lovely aroma and feel like you're somewhere completely different. It's very stylish, subdued lighting (which is nice after all the harshness of outside) and relaxing, with a comfortable bed. − The air con unit is very noisy with lots of rattling in the ducts. The fitness centre is also very small and basic. Complimentary drinks in the lobby stop late afternoon, so no usual late night cuppa for me.
