Gem + Absolutely beautiful and very clean. I wish we had more time just to spend at the hotel. Very very refreshing to come back to after being in dtla all day. The room was so clean and comfortable.

wonderful staff awesome historic hotel + this beautiful hotel is located right in downtown La. it is convient to the crypto arena and fine dining. the rooms are tastfully appointed and the bathrooms are big. the best part of the Fig is the staff. If you are a globalist Victor on the front desk has you covered. He found us a great room and was warm welcoming and super friendly. On check out Bryan was super helpful, and went over everything patiently. Bryan got us on the road quickly and left us smiling. Finally, Amy in Cafe Fig is a doll. she was super friendly and made sure our food came out perfect. ultimatly any hotel is just a big box of rooms, it is outstanding people like Amy, Bryan and Victor that bring a hotel to life. They convince me of the value of hyatt globalist status.

Lovely hotel. Smoking fee scam. + Beautiful hotel, nice helpful staff. The reason I am giving this property 2 stars is because I was charged a $620 smoking fee. I am not a smoker. There is apparently some sensor in the room that if something makes it go off you are automatically charged this insane fee. I have contacted the hotel and Hyatt multiple times to get this charge refunded and it has gone nowhere. I have even contacted someone by the last name of Meek who is in management at the hotel multiple times and have not received any response. I am a professional actor now but worked in hotels and hospitality for many years and charging a guest a $620 smoking fee without any communication is frankly a scam and this seems to be a pattern with Hyatt properties as I found an entire Reddit thread about these charges. I would love to stay at this hotel again as it is beautiful but I won’t again simply because of the chance of getting scammed out of $620. I stayed at the Hoxton my last nigh…

All in all, a very comfortable room for a reasonable amount of money. + Why Hotel Figueroa? I like old, classic hotels, the daily rate was reasonable, and it’s across the street from LA Live, where Crypto.com Arena is located. There are nicer options, including the Ritz-Carlton, the JW Marriott adjacent to LA Live but the room rates for those properties were two to three times what I paid. The hotel was constructed in 1925, and you can see that in the layout. There are stairways in the halls to take you from floor to floor. That was faster than waiting for one of the two elevators servicing the building. The layout of the building reminds me of the St. Francis in San Francisco … The building looks like the letter E, with three wings connected at one end. There are a bar and restaurant on the ground level inside the building and there is another bar and the swimming pool at the West end of the building. Someone said there’s a rooftop bar, but I didn’t go and check it out. My room…

Basic room infrastructure with some pretty common areas that would’ve been worth it without the deposit overreach. + Its location is prime, especially as guests that were there for the WNBA game. − The deposit was nearly as much as the room itself. 278 for a room, 200 for the deposit of the room? Egregious as an establishment that points to a history of inclusivity and access.

Hezké, ale pozor na skryté poplatky. + Příjemný design, pohodlná postel. − První pokoj měl hlučný větrák v koupelně, dostala jsem jiný - lepší - pokoj. Za to moc děkuji. Hotel však další den slavil výročí, u bazénu byla do noci party a nemohla jsem spát - když jsem to ráno na recepci řekla, reakce byla ve stylu, že to je moje věc a mohu si dát zdarma kafe. Žádný je nám to líto. Čekal mě 11 hodinový let a nevyspání bylo znát. Co mě ale především překvapilo byl resort fee - 35 USD/noc o kterém se poprvé dovíte až po udělání rezervace. Tak pozor na to, navýší to náklady. A hotel je 4*, ne 5* jak tady píšou.
