Perfect place! + Firstly, the lovely warm welcome by the owner was appreciated. All staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Our room (No6) was spacious, spotlessly clean and overlooked the garden. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. The tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits were a lovely treat. Breakfast was plentyful and so much to choose from. Location, this is ideally situated for North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway and Pickering Town centre.

+ Friendly and warm welcome from Val when checking in. Even offered us tea or coffee in the lounge. Good system to pre-order breakfast the night before. What a wonderful selection to choose from. Very friendly and efficient waitress greeted us and we were served what must be the best breakfast in Yorkshire! Highly recommended.

EXCELLENT HOSTING - DELICIOUS FOOD - GREAT LOCATION + We stayed in the Old Manse Hotel for one night on our way to Northumberland. The hotel was "tip top". Lovely clean rooms/great hosting/perfect location/delicious breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

An owner who goes out of her way to ensure guests have a great stay. + Very comfortable room, convenient location, excellent food at breakfast and an owner (Valerie) who could not be friendlier and who goes out of her way to ensure guests have a great stay. She delays the evening menu until she has seen what local providers have that is particularly good and will endeavour to meet requests. Cannot recommend this highly enough.

+ From the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble for Val and her staff, the location is ideal for easy access to the local amenities, breakfast was superb especially as all produce is locally sourced - I'd definitely recommend staying.

Lovely hotel, beautiful room, excellent food with plenty of parking. + Great hotel, lovely rooms, excellent food with plenty of parking. Only down side was dogs were allowed in the Dining room which is a big no no, we left breakfast early one morning because of the non stop yapping between 2 or 3 different sets of dogs. Apart from that, lovely place.

Well worth a second visit + We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay here in mid May. A peaceful location (with on site parking) yet within easy reach of the town centre. Excellent breakfast with so much choice that we had ordered the evening before. We had booked dinner on the first evening and because we enjoyed it so much we booked for the following evening as well. We were lucky with the weather and were able to sit in the beautiful garden. Host Valerie and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in a room on the ground floor. If/when the room is upgraded an additional, easily accessible electrical socket for the hairdryer and charging a mobile phone would be helpful (unless there was one and we just couldn’t see it). We would certainly stay here again.

Look no further ! + Your perfect stay awaits you at the Old Manse Hotel ! A lovely property with plenty of free parking, gorgeous gardens, and only 5 minutes walk into Pickering centre. Rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean, and the dining room & lounge are welcoming and comfortable. Your host/owner Valerie is a lovely lady - nothing is too much trouble for her, and she made my little dog and I feel so welcome. She is also an excellent cook - I dined in each night I was staying , and the choice and quality of food was outstanding. Just beware the portions are very generous ! Breakfast was cooked fresh and individual, and was also very filling ! In fact, it was the best hotel food I have had - and over the years I have stayed in many … including a few 5 star ones that can’t compare ! Excellent all round - look no further, go ahead and book !

Friendly well run b&b + Great location, 5 minutes away from the centre of Pickering. Valerie was a superb host, friendly and welcoming, accommodation was excellent, parking to the rear was ample. Public areas were clean and well kept. Room was excellent and clean bed was comfortable, nice shower . Friendly atmosphere, plenty of clientele, breakfast was good, plenty of choice and tasty. Set you up for the day. Great value compered to other hotels in town. We would recommend and use Old Manse again. Friendly staff also serving at breakfast.

Friendly B&B + The Old Manse is conveniently located in Pickering and provides a lovely B&B with dog friendly rooms. Friendly and helpful, this stay was short notice and nothing was too much trouble. A comfortable bed, warm room and a door out onto the garden made this a perfect place to stay with my dogs for one night. Thanks so much.

Lovely + We were booked into this Hotel as our Air BB had been double booked ! One word FANTASTIC Room was lovely ,spotlessly clean ,great bathroom with everything you need . Large comfy bed ,superb linen . Amazing breakfast ,everything was locally sourced ,nothing too much trouble . Good location on quite road but within 5 mins of town ctr . Val ,the host was very helpful and friendly . Dog friendly Thank you .😄

Perfect Stay + Very peaceful environment, extremely comfortable beds and superb breakfasts. Plenty of car parking and only a short walk from Pickering’s main street. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner who was very welcoming and helpful.

Fantastic …Dog friendly / private parking / clean / comfy / lovely staff / close to shops /amazing, plentiful breakfast + Our stay with our little dog was fantastic. I can’t sing praises enough. Re- cleanliness and comfort / very polite and pleasant staff / good private parking / and in a handy location close to the centre. Val (the owner) is just wonderful, such a lovely kind lady, she cooked the best breakfast we’ve ever had in a B&B, exactly what we’d asked for and plenty of it. We’ll definitely go back 😊
