Not good if your looking for comfort + The place was okay overall, but unfortunately, our experience was affected by the weather. It was raining heavily during our stay, and the accommodation felt extremely humid to the point that we had to move to another place because of the dampness throughout the room. The shower also felt quite old. While we understand that it’s an island, we were able to find another room nearby that felt much drier and more comfortable for the night. Wi-Fi is only available in the restaurant, which effectively means there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms. − Before our stay, our ferry was cancelled. We requested a refund, but this was not possible. We then asked to reschedule our dates, but management still declined. This was quite disappointing, especially considering that ferry cancellations due to rough seas are common in Camiguin. Because our booking couldn’t be refunded or modified, we decided to proceed—but we only ended up staying 2 out of the 4 nights.

“eco retreat” = cockroaches, mice and Toko + The location is fairly close to most interesting places to see and restaurants/bars by scooter. The staff was helpful and beers was relatively cheap. − I hate to leave such a poor review but I really think I should be honest here so other people don’t go through the same things as we did. Firstly, if you decide to book a room there make sure you book a room with A/C, as the other rooms are somehow hotter than the outside temperature (which was over 30°+ in April/May during our stay) and the fan does absolutely nothing in regards of cooling the room down. Another thing is that the no A/C rooms have a massive opening between the walls and the roof, so the amount of insects and other wild life that can get inside is huge. We had a Toko (a 1,5 foot long gecko that makes a very loud noise and apparently is territorial and bites) living inside of ours. He would make noises at night that sounded like he was right in bed with us. We had cockroac…

Comfortable and quiet stay + Perfect and beautiful location close to the airport and all the sights. Staff are nice and provided everything we needed. My favorite is the sundeck where we spent every afternoons snorkeling and waiting for the sunset. − Lots of ants and found a worm on the bed. Dont know where they came from.

Beautiful resort with great staff! Insane house reef and so many trips and tours offered. + The resort is beautiful! The gardens are so well maintained and the fact you can just jump into the house reef and see all kinds of sea life including turtles is just a dream! The staff there are so lovely and extremely accommodating. The food at the restaurant was good and they offer so many different trips and tours direct from the resort which makes exploring the island so easy! The location is further away from the main town but I found this ideal because it is quieter during the evenings. Just note that the tricycles stop quite early so make sure to grab some phone numbers or make a time for them to come pick you up after dinner so you don't get stranded in town. You can also drink the water straight from the tap as it comes from a spring water stream which is great. The whole island is just so clean and the resort reflects this and the eco standard. − I stayed in a deluxe room and it shar…

Decepcionante − Nada más llegar, nos cambiamos de habitación porque la cabaña que contratamos no tenía techo, pedimos una habitación cerrada y nos dijeron que si por 3100 pesos las 5 noches, nada más entrar, vimos varias lagartijas, salimos a hablar con ellos y sorprendidos nos dijeron que podia ser culpa de la habitación, nos enseñaron otras y en todas vimos más, descubrimos que habían agujeros en el techo donde entraban y salían, como era de noche no nos dieron ninguna solución, les dijimos que sino tenían otro tipo de habitación nos iríamos porque podían entrar lagartijas que son inofensivas como podía entrar cualquier otro tipo de bicho, entonces yo no me sentía agusto y creo que lo más importante en un hotel es sentirse cómodo y tranquilo, ellos dijeron que era dentro de la experiencia tropical pero por ello ya habíamos pagado de mas para que la habitación fuese cerrada ya que la abierta sabía que lo pasaría mal, lo peor de todo es que al no darnos ninguna solución y no poder ni …

+ The staff were all friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating. The location was perfect, and the food was delicious. Overall, we had a lovely experience and would definitely recommend this place! − One area that could be improved is the issue with ants. There were quite a few tiny ants around the property, and unfortunately, they sometimes ended up in the bed. I also experienced several ant bites, including from sitting on the benches. Hopefully, this can be addressed, as it would make the overall experience much more comfortable.
