Lovely pub with rooms, great location and superb breakfast! + The location is excellent! Right outside one of the gates along the wall. Free parking is brilliant for the centre of York. Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. The beer garden was perfect on a sunny afternoon. Bed was soft and the room was nice and clean. Finally, the breakfast was outstanding! − The only issue was that it was very hot outside and this made our room very uncomfortable. We were provided with a fan but it didn't do enough unfortunately. It was impossible to sleep in the heat.

Don’t mind to come back here + Location, close to a lot of places we wanted to go to and right above a bar 😄 − It is an older building/hotel but it doesn’t bother us, my husband loved it

Exhibition hotel. + We were welcomed in the hotel by Grace who was lovely, very welcoming and friendly, hotel was very comfortable. We stayed at the front and considering it was by main road the noise wasn't too bad. Food was good, big portions, perfectly situated for York centre. Highly recommend. − There wasn't anything not to like, all good.

− Im Zimmer war ein Oberfenster, da es regnete, hörte man das Poltern auf dem Glas und es spritze auf den Nachtich, ich musste das Fenster schliessen, das Poltern blieb!

Schönes Hotel in Top Lage. Würden jederzeit wieder kommen + Frühstück war hervorragend. Top Lage zum Zentrum. Privater Parkplatz war bei der Lage genial. Schöne Bar. − Zimmer lag leider zur Straße. Darum doch bis spät in die Nacht laut

+ Got a very warm welcome, and was given some great advice on what to go see in York by Adam (I think his name was? Sorry if I've gotten that wrong mate) from Leeds. Top bloke! And the hotel facilities were fantastic, nice and central and easy to get to all the good spots in town.

+ Liked position very close to the centre of York, Breakfast was great Luvly young girl who looked after us at breakfast 5 stars 👍 − Room was very small , shower was not very good , could do with a shelf in the shower no where to put shampoo ect, room was very hot ,

Really friendly helpful staff. Excellent location and very clean and comfortable. + The staff were amazing and so helpful. − Our room had only a tiny window and the weather was really hot but they very kindly moved us to another room.
