Excellent Everything + We arrived early as our flight landed at 7am , this is a busy time on the road into Cape Town. On arriving at the Hotel ( you use the reception of the Queen Victoria which is next door) every member of staff is friendly and beyond helpful , never over bearing.( we did have to wait for our room but our luggage was stored we were offered breakfast and we got to relax on sun beds by the pool. The Dock House is a heritage building and has the most lovely garden, pool and outside lounging area . It’s surrounded by tall hedging and this gives it a ‘secret garden’ feel when the wonderful V&A Waterfront is just down the steps ( you can hear the buskers , which is very pleasant) Our room was so well appointed ( we didn’t want the front ) so our room (6) was perfect! Excellent shower,bath , super comfortable bed. Breakfast you have the choice to eat where you want including the lovely breakfast room in Dockhouse, perfect eggs Benedict!! Amazing Dock house boutique hotel + This is an oasis of calm . From the moment we were greeted by Lulu at reception we felt like it was a home away from home . Micheal looked after us in the dock house during breakfast for two days and was amazing 10/10 his paw print Capoccino was fabulous and his attention to customer satisfaction was clear to see. Ashley looked after us on our last morning and was a delight. His flower displays and passion was fantastic . The gentleman at the front doors greeted us and helped with our luggage, I'm sorry I didn't get his name but he was also outstanding. We also had an amazing couple massage in the spa it was so relaxing and very reasonably priced. Thank you girls . Overall this is a must stay part of any planned trip to the wonderful Cape town. A very enjoyable stay at the Dock House, made better by the amazing staff + Fantastic Location, great staff, especially Ashley who made sure all our needs were taken care of. − Hotel is a little on the pricey side for what it is.

Passable + We did not stay there, when we arrived we were shown to our room, from the entrance we turned left and at the end of short passage the attendant opened a door to a stairwell in which was a steep staircase up to our room!! There is no lift and this room apparently was not accessible even from the normal staircase of the building. I have never seen this before in a 5star hotel in al my many travels around the world. My wife had injured her leg and it was therefore it was impossible to stay there. We were offered a room in the sister hotel, the Queen Victoria, which we accepted reluctantly, also not up to 5star standard,it had a tiny bedroom with only one chair, we ordered room service and the waiter arrived with a tray, but there was nowhere to put it, so he fetched a trolley and I sat on the bed to eat! Most of the room was taken up by a passage and an over large shower room, no bath, where the shower pressure was pathetic. Not a good experience. That said the staff were e…

Superb + Pretty much everything is to like. From the exceptionally friendly staff, through to the extremely spacious and luxurious room, to the fresh and tasty breakfast. Highly recommended indeed. will most certainly return. We spoiled ourselves with a treatment at the spa. And what a treat it was!! − A location like this normally comes at a price as far as it concerns noise. This is to be expected. Double glazing would go a long way. This comment should not be seen as a major negative to the property, it is a minor observation and will not prevent us from returning to this lovely hotel and spa.

An excellent choice in Cape Town + This is a very charming hotel, in a wonderful location, very close to The Waterfront. The rooms are big and beautifully decorated, extremely confortable. The service is very kind and accommodating. All in all, an excellent choice in Cape Town!

Beautiful Building + We were originally booked to stay here when we visited Cape Town, however we were told they had over booked, so we were shifted to another hotel across the courtyard. Due to plumbing issues in our room at that hotel we were then shifted to The Dock House, which happened quite late at night. Unfortunately this meant we didn’t get the full experience of the hotel, as we checked out early the next morning. Our room was large, spacious and clean. The heating worked well as it was a very cold night. The breakfast the following morning was lovely and the staff were very attentive. We would book again, with the hope of being able to use more of the facilities offered.

Beautiful property great stay. + Beautiful property the room and the location was perfect − Sometimes people from their sister property came to use the pool which we knew about but it was really nice when it was just the 6 rooms using it

+ Потрясающая локация. − В номере были комары. Мы провели две ночи и нас сильно покусали. Это был не один или два насекомых, а очень и очень много. В ванной комнате и в закрытом баре в комнате, в шкафах, комары были повсюду. Это не первый наш визит в этот отель, мы уже третий раз там останавливаемся, но первый раз когда нам не понравилось размещение. Считаю, что это не допустимо для отеля такого уровня.
