Disappointing + Central location, bar food was decent. Airport shuttle available − Arrived and was told they had overbooked and would not be able to have the two rooms I paid for. After debate, two rooms were provided. Facilities advertised such as gym did not exist, gym has been gutted and is empty. Rubbish from previous guest in bedside table, stray dogs and cats throughout walkways. Wifi non existent unless you pay. Extremely loud music Friday and Saturday nights,

It’s OK to sleep a few nights. + Close to downtown area, they got Restaurant at first floor. − Wi-fi was 10 dollars a day. They depend on Solar panel means you’re going to take a cold shower, upstairs of my room somebody was stomping day and night, I believe local people rent a room at the hotel, he wouldn’t be traveler like me

It's a run-down hotel. Everything in the room looks old and worn out. + I just love the dinner − Everything. Wifi is not free, I had to pay for it. The room was even worse, old rattling aircon that wasn't working, bathroom was old without any bathroom mats, fan was even louder when I switched it on. Everything looked old and not the value of money. Will not be using this hotel again. A total waste of money.

Cozy hotel, will be great once renovation is finalised. + Interesting cable car taking you to your room. Hotel design is lovely and unique. − Hotel is going through a renovation so mess everywhere…

− The cable car did not work during most of our stay, which was very inconvenient.

Great stay wonderful staff + Great place to stay, very central. The new owners of the hotel were very hospitable and are making some needed upgrades. The room was very clean with a comfortable new bed and bed linen, Loved the bar restaurant Troppo, all the staff was fantastic food at the restaurant was fantastic. Looking forward to my next visit to Honiara and I will stay at the King Solomon.

Good option for a week-long stay. + Spacious room with a beautiful sea view if you're on upper floors. I also loved the cable car, such a fun way to get to your room. AirCon worked well and so did the fridge. Troppo, the restaurant next door is THE added value to King Sal (same owner) − No free wifi in the room. Gets noisy ont the weekend. The plumbing could use some repair. The hotel is undergoing major renovations which is great - we could have used a little bit of warning though.

Good option in Honiara with a pool. + Pool was good, location was good, and the funicular railway to get up to the rooms was brilliant! Room and bathroom was a bit old and dated, but was fine for a few nights. The bar and restaurant next door is good too. − The staff made a lot of noise in the mornings while cleaning, talking to each other at a shouting volume. It woke me up on occasions. The staff need to be quiet in the mornings.

it was a work trip, So the facilites werre adequate. + The cafe, which is now next door, is pretty good. Rook is large with a decent sized blocny − I didn't know that the hotel is undergoing reconstruction so some facilities are not there. Rooms are basic but OK

+ Very clean with friendly staff − Very noisy from the bar on Friday (until 2am) and Saturday nights. I was also woken by guests checking in at 3am who partied for the rest of the night. After asking a few times they moved my room for the rest of the stay. Apparrently they will take walk ins of they have spare rooms. Some of the towels had holes in them and the cold water went off intermittently. I asked for a car to the airport to be booked for 1:30 but when I came to reception at 1:25 they said there was no car. They then called a taxi which took 40 minutes to come and led to a stressful ride to the airpott as the traffic is very slow.

Clean and comfortable, great midrange option for Honiara. + clean and comfortable accommodation, with everything we needed. Restaurant was actually really good value, especially Tuesday Taco night, which was delicious. Very attentive and helpful staff, and a lovely pool. − My shoes were stolen when I left them outside of my door one night, so important to remember to secure all your belongings, even though it feels very homely!

Good value and location in Honiara + Cute location on a hill, view of ocean. Great bar/restaurant with super fast wifi. − Loud party music on Friday and Saturday night.

Noisy + Put in this place by Solomon airlines due to plane broken down. The noise is hell on earth, music, party, screaming. 2 nights no sleep. Rooms very tired. Bathroom stained and old.
