Food options limited, beach erosion, but great access to dive sites + We chose Occidental to get open water dive certified knowing about the limited food options and booked an additional 4 days (we probably should have split the stay over 2 resorts rather than 8 days in one). We were planning to walk to Alberto's just south on the beach but the beach had eroded to the point where walking wasn't possible so we ended up overpaying for 2 cab rides for 1/2 mile. The road is scary and we were going for sunset. Staff service was generally good but inconsistent. Sometimes very helpful and friendly other times just getting their job done. The grounds were a beautiful mix of manicured and raw jungle. The AC in the rooms generally worked really well and we slept well. The AC in the breakfast/dinner buffet space was non-existent/broken/inadequate. Mexican restaurant AC was the same. The mediterranean restaurant was good. Basico y cumplidor + - Cuarto muy cómodo y amplio. - Comida de buena calidad sobre todo la del restaurante a la carta (con reserva) - Por la ubicación es una playa libre de sargazo - La playa tiene camastros con mucha sombra - Me gustó la arquitectura del hotel, es colonial mexicana y hay mucho verde − - La actitud general del personal, considero son poco serviciales, baja actitud , ellos mismos nos comentaron sobre lo saturados que están, quejas sobre sus horarios y tiempos extras. - Bebidas muy malas y de baja calidad, muy artificiales y con mucha azúcar. - Pocas opciones de restaurantes y la pasábamos muy mal en el restaurante del desayuno y que no servía el aire acondicionado (aunque aparentemente no sirve desde hace meses por lo que leo en comentarios anteriores) - No hay restaurantes de snaks cerca de la piscina ni de la play , entiendo que es por mantener la limpieza y fauna que esta alrededor pero poco cómodo (para que lo tengas en cuenta) - No hay forma para reservar …

Best beach in Cozumel + Stay 15 days - Royal Level. Used La Carreta restaurant for the duration with a few exceptions. Rooms are big, clean and beautiful. TV was not much of an use as the viewing and sound quality are very bad. for us was ok because we don't watch tv much but would have been nice to have it once in a while. The staff is one of the important reasons we go to Cozumel Occidental. La Carreta restaurant staff is particularly kind and very professional. Lupita, Carlos Uch, Juan-Carlos and David the captains. Claudia and Armando. Jimmy - the best chef you have at royal level. They all are very hard working people, friendly and very attentive to our needs; they make our stay super special. Then there is Noemi - she is one of your best employees and we are very happy to see her hard work, professionalism and dedication being recognized - she deserves it!. Please make sure you keep this very very good people at the royal level, because it matters a lot. Amazing improvement …

Karibikflair + Der Strand ist traumhaft! Auch die Liegen am Strand und am Pool toll. Wir hatten Premium Level und konnten so jeden Tag in einem Restaurant essen gehen, das Essen am Buffet war nämlich schrecklich. Das Hotel ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sehr sauber. Toll ist der Weg zum Strand (über eine Brücke) durch die Mangroven. − Personal - fast durchgehend am Handy und desinteressiert

Pro dive review + Our trip here was phenomenal. I am mainly writing this review for pro dive to give our dive master Louisa a great review. She was friendly very observant of everybody diving with her. You can tell she truly enjoys what she does on a everyday basis.

Buen lugar. + La atención por parte del personal del Gym Spa fue de lo mejor, así como tambien con Sergió del Restaurante Coral. Excelente trato. − El personal de recepcion del lobby Royal no fueron coordiales ni amables. No hubo un recibimiento calido en el check in. En el check out ni siquiera preguntaron que tal la pasamos. En el recibimiento se decia que venia una botella de vino incluida y no la llevaron.

Lovely beach and great room but food leaves something to be desired. + Beach - wonderful! water was clear and lovely to swim in and beach loungers were nice. Room - spacious and clean and bathroom was so large! Grounds - magnificent! − Food - meh! Breakfast was great, but coffee was from a machine and not so good for coffee lovers. Buffet in Beach Club was so so for lunch and I think it was not something I would have eaten had it not been part of an all inclusive. I have to say food at seafood restaurant was of poor quality as well.

+ Buena relación calidad precio. Instalaciones amplias y cómodas. Limpieza en piscinas y áreas comunes. Ubicación. − Mejorar la calidad de la cena, sobretodo la barra de pizzas. No hay alimentos/snacks fuera de los horarios de restaurantes.

hotel bello, ma pubblicità ingannevole perchè dichiara servizi non utilizzabili. + l'hotel è costruito bene, con casette carine immerse nel verde e in una parte molto tranquilla dell'isola. − La nostra esperienza in questo hotel è stata purtroppo al di sotto delle aspettative per una struttura a cinque stelle. Abbiamo scelto l’hotel principalmente per i servizi e le strutture pubblicizzati su Booking.com, ma una volta arrivati abbiamo scoperto diverse limitazioni che non erano state comunicate in anticipo. L'hotel dichiara di avere 5 ristoranti, invece solo quando siamo arrivati li abbiamo scoperto che era potevamo accedere ad uno solo !! Gli altri ristoranti erano riservati a chi soggiornava più di tre notti oppure agli ospiti Luxury. Molto scorretto perchè noi abbiamo scelto questa struttura perchè pensavamo di poter provare più cose diverse.
