Not Great + Stayed here 11 nights. on first impressions it looked really nice. Rooms where ok, wash room very small. The restaurants 11 in total where all very dull and the food was very bad. We used the buffet most nights and very rarely got a decent meal. Most of the drinks where watered down and the bar staff, very miserable to say the least. they only smilled when they got a tip. Entertainment at night was poor, every thing finished around 10 oclock. To sum up my time her, £7500.00 not very well spent. Will never st foot in the place ever again. The only one good thing going for it was the beach, but then again you get good beaches in most places.

Busy but enjoyable vacation! + We booked a Diamond Club room and went with a larger group (8 families). We stayed for 6 days and spent most of our time at the beach, venturing to the "party pool" during late afternoon. We tip steadily throughout the day. Read on for pros/cons: Pros: - The beach and ocean was amazing. Fun waves but not too large, lovely sand. Can go for a walk/jog in either direction. - There was no mass illness as described in some other reviews. One adult was briefly ill on the very first day, otherwise everyone was fine. - For the most part, customer service was good. Most people were friendly and did their best. - Our butler Ozuna did a great job scheduling dinners for our large group... We were challenging as we made lots of last minute changes & requests! - At the beach (Diamond club area) it was quite easy to get a drink or a snack. Zen Restaurant + Zen Restaurant was wonderful! Yeilin was especially helpful with our reservations for sushi. She could not have been kinder - we even came back for a second night. Highly recommend!! She is the one who speaks good English with. Big smile. She is amazing & she represents the best of this resort!

Royalton Punta Cana and horrendous boat trip booked with SANTA. + We just spent a week at Royalton Punta Cana which was a mixed of thoughts from myself. I have stayed the St Lucia Royalton resort which I could not of faulted. Unfortunately felt very different for this hotel which was disappointing. To start on the positives, the staff in all areas of the hotel was so so helpful and didn’t ever expect tips, the beach was absolutely beautiful, and the staff at the buffet always were on it asking if you’d like any drinks. Now for the disappointing points, firstly the rooms are so not looked after or cleaned well, i definitely did not feel I was staying in a 5* hotel. The hotel overall just looked like it had been brought off another hotel and they just added things to it as we actually walked down to the Royalton Bávaro hotel and that hotel we wished we picked to stay at as it looked so much more up to date. Staying at the Royalton Punta Cana + Unfortunately, my experience at Royalton Punta Cana was very disappointing. One of the biggest issues was how difficult it was to get a dinner reservation. For a resort of this level, guests should not have to struggle just to enjoy the restaurants during their stay. The room itself also had several maintenance problems. The shower door leaked badly, causing a large puddle of water on the floor after every shower. It became very slippery and honestly made me afraid of falling the entire time. The ceiling fan also made a strange noise and felt like it might come loose, which was uncomfortable and concerning. I will say that the staff was kind and polite, but unfortunately, none of my concerns were actually resolved. I even tipped, hoping that would help move things along, but nothing was ever properly taken care of. To make matters worse, one of the maintenance/help staff made me feel very uncomfortable. His behavior came across as inappropriate…

Don’t go .. you’ll get more for your money elsewhere. This Royalton hotel not good, lots of complaints from people + Go somewhere else. Diamond club with a butler … room overlooked a service road. Butler only booked restaurant reservations. Entertainment rubbish. At most 2-3 star hotel. Staff miserable, only happy when getting large tips. had to keep requesting water/drinks be replenished in fridge … took 5 days to get coffee pods. stayed in nicer premier inns!

Great vacation + We asked for 2 queen beds as we traveled with our children. We got a room with 1 king. So our kids slept on a rollaway bed and sofa couch, which weren't very comfortable and made the room very cramped. Other than that, our stay was lovely. It was very expensive for a 1 week vacation. The hotel was very clean, staff were great and friendly and felt very safe. Food was delicious and many choice.

Fun Family Trip + The food was just ok and the food service outside the restaurants was very slow & disorganized. It was very hard to find someone to take a food order at the pool/beach/bar and then the food took an hour or more. We also had numerous issues with ordering something only to find they were out of it (daily occurrence, could be due to issues with importing). The staff were lovely, the resort was nice but could stand to be updated. There were people on the resort that were pretty pushy about services (spa, excursions, photos, etc.). I understand they are asked to upsell but it was frustrating to say no to multiple people throughout the day. We did the Diamond Club & having the lounge, private pool/beach, & butler was worth the additional cost.

Exercise Team Were Wonderful + Had a wonderful holiday. It was an excellent fitness team with Yoga and plates xircuit training and much more. The trainers Black coffee and Mr Wow went out of there way to make all the work outs enjoyable and entertaining. Food was great and the variety of different restaurants mean you don't get fed up by the second week.
