Overall a great stay with a little room for improvement + The best thing about this hotel is definitely the location. The easy access to Hamilton via the hotels ferry gives it the edge. The pool area was nice and quiet with a beautiful view of Hamilton. The ferry was on time and the captain was lovely and personable. I do wish they'd run the ferry back and forth for a few hours in the morning and evenings rather than just once every hour. I don't see why they would just do one trip across and back and then have it sit there for a full hour with a captain on board. We stayed in a one bedroom suite which was very spacious and enjoyed the full kitchen. Try to ask for a room on the second or third floor as the main floor (on the same level as the lobby) has a wall instead of balcony bars and it's impossible to see the view if you sit down. They need bar height out outdoor furniture for these rooms. The biggest disappointment was the beach shuttle. It was often late when departing for t…

+ Love the compact layout making everything quick and easy to get to. Spa massage was great, loved the infinity pool and the view of the harbour. Aurora restaurant was consistently solid. Room with kitchenette was very spacious and comfortable. Shuttle to Hamilton and the beach were very convenient. Loved our stay and would come again.

+ The only problem we had was listening to constant water noise during the night.

What a Gem + We have not stayed at the Belmont for 35yrs. I was surprised how beautiful and large the one bedroom units with full kitchen were. The whole staff from housekeeping to the front desk where exceptional. We had to spend an extra 3 days because of the hurricane that hit the Island.( What a burden) LOL.The Belmont Golf course had a free shuttle from the hotel. Darren Swan worked the desk at the Pro-Shop was awesome. His Brother Kim Swan is a Bermuda golf legend who also teaches.

Newstead + This is my third trip staying at the Newstead and always delighted with the experience. We stay here during work stays and find the ferry ride across to Hamilton a highlight to the commute. The breakfast is good and the dinner menu is extensive with many great choices. This past trip we stayed in the Cottages which was a total surprise and a wonderful experience. We were directly on the water with corner open views that are spectacular. It is a great retreat. My only comment is the lack of electical sockets by the bedsides. Charging your phone overnight next to the bed was not an option which was disappointing.

Another FABULOUS Stay @ Newstead + Newstead is a first-class property. This is the third or fourth time we have stayed there. View overlooking Hamilton Harbor is to diie for beautiful, the staff are incredibly accomodating and helpful, everything is clean, and the food is first-rate.

Best trip + Highly recommend Bermuda as a destination and the Newstead Belmont was a fantastic choice. The resort is clean, location amazing and the staff were very attentive. Thoroughly enjoyed the ferry shuttle in to Hamilton and beach access at Coco Reef also by a shuttle transport. The room was right at the water with great views, had a kitchenette which was convenient but there could have been more storage and counter space. The pool was lovely and not usually busy so it was relaxing. Pool bar opened while we were there as our trip was end March into April and things get going around Easter in Bermuda for the busy season.

Romantic Weekend Getaway + My hubby and I was blown over with the balcony room overlooking the sea with the city in the distance. Exceptional views both day and night! All the suite's amenities including the spa jacuzzi were top notch. We enjoyed the entire weekend with the car rental exploring the island's variety of things to do then retreating to our splendid room! Bermuda is one place that everyone blessed enough should visit. And stay at Newstead!!!!!

Beautiful Bermuda + Newstead Belmont was wonderful. Our room overlooked Hamilton. A beautiful view. The location was convenient as we had stayed in Paget many times. We had a two bedroom suite with family. We wanted to have a common area for relaxing together rather than 2 single bedrooms. It worked out great. Shuttles were there to bring us to the beach and the Belmont for dinner. My only suggestion would be to add to the ferry schedule. The ferries were too far apart. I realize it was a winter schedule but it was very limited.

Manage Your Expectations + We stayed here for a special family trip and left disappointed, especially given the price and the hotel's 4-star rating. The biggest issue was the front desk, which was consistently unfriendly and unhelpful. What made it even more noticeable was that every other person we encountered in Bermuda—from restaurant staff to shopkeepers and taxi drivers—was incredibly warm and welcoming. The contrast with the service at the hotel was striking. The property itself also feels more worn than the photos suggest. Our room had several maintenance issues, including curtains coming off the rod and a sink handle separating from the counter. None of these were major problems individually, but together they didn't reflect the level of quality we expected. That said, the housekeeping staff were excellent. Our room was spotless every day, and they were the highlight of the experience. One tip for future guests: I would strongly recommend renting a car. We found taxis to b…

Fabulous location & beautiful views! + Recently enjoyed a 4-night stay in Room 651 at the Newstead and thoroughly enjoyed our vacation! At check-in, we were warmly greeted by the front staff. As our room was not yet available, we enjoyed a wonderful lunch in the Aurora restaurant. Later, a stunning sunset. Our room was on the 5th floor overlooking the water and Hamilton. A joy to sit on the balcony each morning to enjoy a cup of coffee. The Newstead offers complimentary shuttle service to Coco Reef, where we swam at Elbow Beach, then enjoyed lunch overlooking the ocean. Later, we took the shuttle over to Blu for a wonderful sunset dinner. The infinity pool offered leisurely views across the water towards Hamilton. Enjoyed the best Bermuda fish sandwich at the pool bar! Our room was well appointed with comfortable beds. This was our sixth trip to Bermuda, and first stay at The Newstead - we chose it for the location, amenities (shuttle service!) and friendly staff. A tre…
