World Class Hospitality Blended with the backdrop of Iguazu Falls + My husband and I were looking for a special place to ring in our milestone birthdays last month and I can’t recommend the Gran Melia highly enough! From the moment we walked into the lobby, we were met with a welcome drink, friendly front desk staff and helpful bellman who gave us a tour of the property along with tips and guidance for the best ways to explore Iguazu Falls. The property is absolutely breathtaking as the design and décor blend seamlessly with the natural environment of the Iguazu backdrop. Even the hallways smell amazing as they are infused with one of the special scents that is unique to the area. We walked into our room which had spectacular views of Iguazu Falls in the background and were greeted by a few monkeys that were climbing on our balcony chairs. Beautiful Views but needs updating + **Bottom Line Up Front:** I wouldn't stay here again. Location: This is, without a doubt, the hotel's biggest selling point. It's the only hotel located inside the park, making it incredibly convenient to walk to the falls and other attractions. Room: The room was very small, dated, and had a strong moldy smell. The odor was bad enough that we requested a room change. Our second room was only slightly better, although the rooms on the higher floors seemed to be in better condition. Staff: Hospitality was inconsistent. The check-in staff wasn't particularly welcoming, but the housekeeping team was extremely helpful, friendly, and attentive throughout our stay. Pool: The pool was well staffed, and service was readily available. The pool area is on the smaller side, so it can get crowded, but I actually enjoyed spending time there more than I did in my room. Un luogo da sogno che porteremo nei nostro cuori + Il Grand Meliá è una struttura stupenda, molto ben tenuta, con uno staff estremamente ben formato, cordiale e attento al dettaglio. Il cibo è buonissimo, abbiamo provato il ristorante Merkado, eccellente, ed anche la grigliata di carne, sempre eccellente. Il personale in entrambi i casi impeccabile. La stanza è molto confortevole, con letto comodissimo e prodotti per la cura personale. È un luogo molto lussuoso che, al tempo stesso, esprime calore. Il giardino con il rumore delle cascate oltre ad essere bellissimo trasmette grande pace. Ovunque ci si trovi nella struttura, qualcuno si avvicinerà per chiedere se si ha bisogno di qualcosa. La sera mentre prendevamo l'aperitivo fuori qualcuno si avvicinava sempre per proporci delle coperte o aggiungere un po' di legno nel fuoco che ci teneva caldi. Vista meravigliosa sulle cascate e Hotel di livello ma decisamente costoso + Sicuramente la struttura risulta più bella vista da vicino rispetto all’esterno, visto da lontano L’arredamento curato è di grande, buon gusto − Non ho apprezzato l’insistenza del ragazzo della reception per farci fare la upgrade a pagamento e il fatto che non c’abbiano voluto fare il check-in prima delle ore 15:00 anche se la stanza risultava pronta. Altro punto che io non ho apprezzato è che manca completamente uno specchio di dimensioni ragionevoli nella sala da bagno
