+ Great property at a great price! Our room was newly remodeled and very quiet! The owner (I think) welcomed us and showed us to our room (even though it was raining). He made sure we knew how to work the AC and TV and had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this hotel while doing activities in the Rotorua area!

+ The room was nice and comfortable for the 3 of us. It was in a good location. We could easily get to some activities and attractions. It would be nice to add some things in the kitchen like a tea pot, large bowls and dishes. Also a mirror in the main bedroom would be nice. The owners were really nice and welcoming. I would definitely book again 🙂

Pleasantly surprised and exceeded expectations + We only stayed one night but liked it enough to stay more if our plans allowed. It is in a great location. The parking is tight but we made it work. The front desk attendant was very nice and helpful. I am not sure if we got a free upgrade but it was much better than I thought. It had all the accommodations. We were going to go out and do things in Rotorua but opted to stay in the room and rest instead because it was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The beds were comfortable. I thought this place was great and would definitely stay there again if we go back to New Zealand.

Thoughtless inattention to details and dirty. + Filthy stained old vinyl floors, cobwebs in high spots in kitchen. Bathroom sliding door was broken and difficult to open and close bathroom when using toilet or shower. No mirrors in the room - which is an essential thing to have in a motel room, especially for women and we were attending a costume party and only had a dark bathroom mirror to share. Old tv cabinet in hallway just taking up space. Needs to be removed, (dumped or sold.) Clothes dryer broken in laundry so had to use a public commercial clothes dryer. No mixing bowls in kitchen so un couldn’t have my mowing microwave porridge.. Only white towels so I had to buy some black ones from the warehouse to remove my make up (we attended a costume ball). (Most hotels these days provide dark make up removing facecloth’s. To prevent staining the white ones) This room was clearly designed by a male as it was not suitable for female guests!.
