+ The Floral Hotel Longsheng was quite an experience. The hotel itself is literally set into the side of a mountain with rooms that look out at the valley and the mountains across the valley. Our room was exceptionally spacious and readily fit the five members of our family across its two floors. While some of the beds were a bit hard by American standards (my daughter described them as a blanket on top of a board) - they were still acceptable given the rustic vibe of the place. The staff did not speak much if any English, but we were able to communicate with them via Google translate and had no problems figuring out how to get what we needed. They were more than happy to help. We ate at the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast and found the food to be quite excellent. The dinner menu is quite extensive with many choices - we particularly liked the beer fish and the bamboo chicken and bamboo rice.
