The issues with this hotel don’t stop at the air conditioning. The refrigerator is also fake and doesn’t cool. When asked why, the response was that the hotel refrigerators don’t have compressors. A Solid Choice in Wauhan! + After trying to stay at two other US-branded hotels in Wuhan and deciding to leave each, I can say with near certainty that the Hilton Garden Inn Wuhan Hankou is by far the best hotel in Wuhan for a typical traveler from North America, Europe or perhaps anywhere. It is very new. It is very, very clean. The rooms are good sized and the décor, furnishings, and fixtures are all modern and appropriate. The beds are wonderful!! Staff are efficient, pleasant and eager to be of assistance. This is true for the front desk, housekeeping and certainly the dining-room staff. English is commonly spoken, The breakfasts, while not what would be served in the USA, would in this Midwesterner’s opinion certainly be acceptable to any traveler from North America or Europe, or from anywhere else for that matter.
