Service by duty/floor managers were outstanding, but have many shortfalls elsewhere + Stayed in this hotel near the End-Of-Year period of 2025. Gym was great, a pity it only operates from 6am-11pm. The health club would be better if it operates beyond 11pm (24hours) as tourists will usually be out during the day. Even the concierge service closes at 11pm and the rest are covered by the front desk/duty managers. Hotel location was centrally located, close to a large shopping mall and has a view of the Mingyue lake as well. The hotel itself is also surrounded by a small lake, which adds to the charm of the hotel itself. Breakfast service: Spread was poor, slow refills, little to no attention by staff - understaffed Horizon lounge: severely understaffed, slow refills, limited space Hotel lobby/rooms: The hotel is branded as a non-smoking hotel, but we still faced a few instances where people are smoking in the restaurant/lobby up to their rooms. Fantastic Gym + good stay due to last 3 time complaining. now finally learning. breakfast buffet is good, bad is that no western restaurant available during the week, orders in room service very complicated, due to the lack of english speaking people , gym is best of all hotels i ever had stayed next mall 20 min by walking

Substandard for this brand + For any foreign travelers; and some domestic travelers who have traveled abroad, this place disappoints in many ways. 1. The hotel is quite old, tired, and in desperate need of renovation. This brand is normally very good, ownership should really correct this. 2. The WiFi is impossible to connect to as proper instructions are not communicated either by hotel staff or via their website. Small letters at the bottom of the page directs you to another page that requires your room number and last name; but the last name must not be more than 6 characters; not enough for me at least. 3. The hotel advertises non-smoking, but does not lift a finger to enforce this policy. This is a big problem for any non-smoker. You can’t walk into any lobby or restaurant restrooms without choking on the smoke. If they were to install detectors and fine violators a significant amount of smoke, this would stop. Comfortable stay but… + Our stay at the Shangri-La Yangzhou was brief but comfortable overall. We occupied two rooms on the 12th floor, both offering pleasant views of the lake. As expected from the Shangri-La brand, the hotel was clean and well maintained, with spacious guest rooms, comfortable beds, and an indoor swimming pool that our daughter thoroughly enjoyed. Although we did not purchase the breakfast package, we dined at the hotel’s Michelin-recognized restaurant. We ordered the rainbow Tang Bao buns, traditional steamed buns, and several other dishes. While the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, the food unfortunately did not meet our expectations. The hotel’s location is convenient, with easy access to nearby shopping malls and the Yangzhou Art Museum. However, the property is beginning to show its age and would benefit from a renovation. The bathrooms, in particular, felt dated, with scratched fixtures and furnishings, while some closets and drawers were difficult to open…

Excellent stay at the shangri-la yangzhou + The Shangri-la yangzhou is an excellent choice for those considering a trip to the city. It provides excellent views and is a short 10 to 15 min walk to a shopping mall. The staff are friendly and approachable. Their staff Ivy was constantly checking in on us and if we had anything she could assist us with. She provided us with valuable assistance. Lounge food was excellent and had a wide variety as well. Even before our stay, the hotel reached out to ask for our preferences and if we had any food allergies. We felt extremely well taken care of during our time there and service was way beyond expectations. Would definitely recommend to anyone going on a trip to yangzhou.
