+ Although the hotel is quite old but the quality still maintained. Good spread of breakfast and the Shang Palace as good as ever. Location is good and staff are friendly and helpful. − The indoor swimming pool is not great as it gives you the vibe of a public swimming poo; The room is rather tired - the carpet, curtains and furniture could all do with a new look.

+ The service and buffet breakfast are excellent..Location is good with many restaurants nearby. We can easily ride on the bicycle and go shopping mall. Friiendly and professional front counter, speedy arrangement for breakfast well explained the strong management from the group. Will definitely come back again.

Superb hotel in Chengdu + The service is superb! The staff allowed us to check in earlier as there are rooms available. Buffet breakfast is rich in varieties and the team is doing well to allocate seats for guests. Food is nice too!Walkable distance to many restaurants and food stalls. We rent the bicycle right in front of the hotel and cycled around that area. A small tent inside the room for the kids to play and they were so excited! Thanks for the arrangement of hotel and we would definitely return. Swimming pool is a bit too cold, would be good if this can be improved. The rest are all good! Very good management of the hotel! Bravo!

Icy cold flawless glass tower rich people hotel! + Its a flawless glass tower hotel. All the stuff. Very nicely appointed. Rich people hotel stuff! − It’s an icily cold flawless glass tower hotel. Everyone who works there is sort of…scared? So efficient and effective they practically don’t know what they’re doing anymore. Everything was perfect, I have nothing to complain about except intangible nonsense like “soul”. Or something.

A wonderful stay made even more memorable by the warm hospitality and genuine care of the staff. + We had a wonderful stay, and one of the highlights was the daily buffet, which offered a great variety of dishes and particularly good choices of meat. We really enjoyed having such a wide selection available every day. Another highlight was the exceptional hospitality from the staff. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely willing to help. A special mention goes to the three young men on the concierge team — William, Bob, and Jason. Bob was extremely helpful in resolving an incorrect charge from a Didi taxi, and he handled the issue with great patience and professionalism. William went above and beyond when my wife needed some medicine, helping us find a local pharmacy and even arranging for the correct medication to be delivered to the hotel. Jason was always ready to assist, especially when communicating with taxi drivers and helping us find things to do and places to visi…

Lives up to it's name + What's not there to like about the Shangri-La. Mr. Vagrent Fu (Assistant Front office Manager) was excellent in his assistance to us. The breakfast was sumptuous, the spa was v good and even while the security was hyped up to accommodate the president of Ecuador who was also staying at the same time, we didn't feel inconvenienced at all. They also have an afternoon offer for 2 people at 170cny each to drink a lot wine... We celebrated a birthday and they gave us a lovely cake & champagne too We shall return to the chain, as long as we can afford it :) − Early check-ins. Our booked rooms are never available so we either get an alternative or an upgrade. This time we got an alternative room but was kids themed so we had a small tent, slide and some duck based stuff in the room! Which they then helpfully removed... Also, their bar area has an amazing selection of whiskies but only 5 of them are available by the glass:(

+ У нас был номер с потрясающим видом на набережную и мост. Завтрак был разнообразный и вкусный, много блюд, есть европейская кухня. Ароматный эспрессо, правильной прожарки. К сожалению не успели воспользоваться спецпредложением на массаж. − Услуга помощи с багажом.
