Aside from the tv issue everything was perfect. Would stay again. + We had a great stay at the Poseidon hotel. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, especially Novian who arranged a cake for my girlfriend’s birthday on very short notice. The room was clean and comfortable too. − The only downside to the property was that the tv was as not able to be used for movies aside from what was currently showing on cable. After much trouble shooting we were unable to download Netflix.

+ Lovely hotel with great service. Easy walk to the beach and around 10min drive to main precinct. − Pool bar wasn’t open in the evening which was disappointing, and no aircon in the gym at 6:30am.

A disappointing splurge in our trip + Every single member of staff we interacted with was incredibly warm and helpful. Definitely the highlight of the property. − It was incredibly hot. There was no air conditioning in the lobby, hallways, or elevators. When we checked in, the thermostat in our room read 27C and it took hours to get it down to something comfortable. We didn’t expect how inescapably hot we’d be even in our room, and once we realized the hotel was virtually empty with no other guests and amenities like the rooftop bar not opening during our stay, we were disappointed by the location being so far out of town. It made fleeing to more hospitable climes/food/drink more involved with having to get taxis. We would definitely not stay here again.

+ Nice view from bedroom − Housekeeping at 7am, noisy guests and very loud. Was nice but way overpriced and too far away from anything in town.

+ Everything was good - comfortable, clean, good breakfast options and many additional services available in the hotel (massage was good for instance). This is not a central location, so you would need Grab to move around, even to have a dinner, as I haven't noticed any decent restaurants around. However, if the sea is your main goal, then it's right in front of the beach. − There is a language barrier. Some receptionists need to wait for their English speaking colleagues to solve an issue. From another point it's understandable, because Dong Hoi isn't a touristy place yet.

Mäßiges Hotel, deutlich unter den Erwartungen. + Leider nur wenig. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber, der Balkon ganz nett. Blöd, dass da eine tote Kakerlake 3 Tage lag und die Badewanne im freien dreckig war. Optischer Eindruck war gut. Lärmschutz zum Nachbarraum war zum Glück gut, auf dem Gang hingegen ist es schon sehr laut und man hört alles aus den anderen Zimmern. Tollwut die Entfernung (40 Minuten) zu den Höhlen von Phong Nah! − Leider war es mit Abstand das teuerster Hotel unserer 5 Sternereisen durch Vietnam (5 Hotels) - und bot dafür nix. Es war relativ laut, das Personal nicht sonderlich bemüht. Selbst 3 Sterne wären schon gut dafür! Das Frühstück eine Zumutung - eine halbe Stunde vor Schluss wird regelmäßig abgeräumt und mit dem Umbau für das Mittagessen begonnen. Das Essen generell ist komplett auf Chinesen ausgerichtet. Diese stellen die Hauptklientel im Hotel - etwa 90 Prozent. Ganze Reisegruppen kommen busseweise jeden Tag - sind sehr laut, unhöflich und belegen den ganz…

+ We stayed only 1 night and we liked the hotel - beds were cozy, breakfast was fine and mostly we liked the pool at the too floor. Location is near the sea which is great but there were not many restaurants near ... we had diner at the hotel restaurant and food was really good.
