+ Everthing you need is close by. From a 7/11, night life, beach and there is a tuk tuk out the front for 100 baht to take you anywhere else. − It was in the low season the breakfast was below par.

A real gem of a hotel + Two things make this hotel fabulous - location and the staff. It’s within 5 minutes walk from the beach and there are so many bars and restaurants within a 10 minute walk. The staff are friendly. The hotel is rather dated but I really liked this. It added to the atmosphere (it’s super clean), rather like staying in a hotel from a bygone age! I had a small balcony with a sea view, with good size room at an amazing price. Fabulous, I’ll definitely be back. − Breakfast choices are quite minimal (hate to say this as the staff at breakfast are lovely). Breakfast was cheap but personally I’d probably skip breakfast next time and go local instead.

Dated but clean and great location. + The hotel is dated. Nothing has changed since the 80’s with lots of wood paneling and old art. Having said that, it’s very clean with no musty smell or other signs of its age. The reception is huge and the rooms are a good size. The location is great. The night market is a five minute stroll and the dodgy walking street is just around the corner (Apparently). Overall, it’s good value.

Ich war zufrieden und werde das Hotel gerne wieder buchen. + Zimmer sind sehr sauber und das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Hotel liegt ziemlich zentral und man kommt überall gut hin. − Das Frühstück könnte etwas reichhaltiger sein.

Gutes Hotel + The City Beach Resort is particularly impressive due to its fantastic, very central location in Hua Hin – you're right in the heart of things and everything is within easy reach. I had originally considered staying at the neighboring Hilton, but the City Beach costs only a sixth of the price. For this price, the hotel is truly excellent and offers outstanding value for money. A special mention goes to the wonderful staff member at breakfast: very cheerful, friendly, and in good spirits – a great way to start the day! The only downside was that the music was too quiet. If you're looking for affordable, well-located accommodation and don't want to spend a fortune on luxury, this is the perfect place. I'd gladly return! − --
