Hôtel de qualité + Hôtel très calme avec plusieurs piscines . Notre chambre était au calme et le petit déjeuner très bon Et varié. La plage est propre avec suffisamment de transats

Rude Staff, Badly Maintained Room, Absence of Manager and A Disgrace to Thai Hospitality + Despite the low season, the room was not maintained. It had a musky smell when I entered. The air-conditioning in the room was not cold even though I set the thermostat to 20 degrees celsius. Even after the staff has checked the air-conditioning, there was not much difference. The toilet bowl was choked on the morning of my departure. I booked the room for 2 people and the rate included breakfast for 2. Breakfast spread was small with not much variety and the same every day. Upon arrival, my partner decided to stay with her friends and when I invited her over for breakfast, I was charged for it. I spoke with the staff and she asked me to speak with their manager the next morning. Shockingly, the manager was absent from work the next day! Another staff, Koong attended to me. She had no name tag to identify herself, taunted me with some policy and when I asked to sight them, she became aggr…

+ A couple of things did go wrong during our stay (forgot to clean our room a couple of times; double booked our NYE reservation); but the staff were quick to react and resolve. Great location and facilities.

Wonderful Thai Style Resort, A Refreshing Change + The Mukdara is quintessentially Thai, huge, well maintained grounds; fantastically quiet pools; a massive uncrowded beachfront and rooms that are clean, comfortable and well maintained. I will agree with other reviewers that breakfast is poor, however the location of the Mukdara means you have plenty right on your doorstep if you are looking for alternative eating options. If you want crowds, fighting for a sunbed and modern rooms, then stay at the La Flora or Ramada next door.

Every choice matters + Good hotel, great staff. Though this is not the place for thailuxury. Medium breakfast. Excellent location by the sea. Villas in the garden are huge. But be aware that place is crawling with russians, so if u are ok sharing your breakfast with murderers, go ahead.

조용하고 여유로운 호텔 + 충분한 썬베드, 넓은 수영장. 해변 바로앞 위치..시설은 태국스타일의 약간 올드스타일이나 수영장에서 바다보며 썬탠하고 싶은 사람에겐 최적의 장소임.

Good but not Great + If you are looking for luxury then this is not the place for you. It’s clean and comfortable and in a perfect location on the beach but the resort is really tired and in need on a significant facelift. For the prices they are charging they really should be reinvesting back into the resort. With some money spent this place could easily be one of the nicest places around. Breakfast is decent but not a huge selection for westerners in my opinion. A few different pool areas which is great if you like a bit of variation however I personally preferred the pool by the beach as the loungers overlook the sea. The staff are friendly enough but I wouldn’t say the service was outstanding. If you get a cheap deal then this is certainly worth a visit but there are far nicer resorts to choose from in my opinion

+ Im Resort geht es wirklich herrlich ruhig und relaxt zu, die Gartenanlage ist wunderschön. Auch größere Warane und große Fische sind zu sehen. Der Service gibt alles, dass man sich wohlfühlt. Die Anlage hat Gebrauchsspuren, aber nicht weiter schlimm, wie zum Beispiel, ein paar Wegesplatten die nicht akkurat liegen oder abgeplatzte Farbe. Der Tennisplatz ist etwas alt und im Fitnessraum sind die Gräte abgenützt...aber dennoch,wir kommen wieder. Die Lage, Khao Lak, der saubere feine Sandstrand, die ganz besonderen Villen, das nette Personal....als Gesamtpaket tipptopp.

+ Das Hotel hat eine sehr gute Lage, man kann hier schön Urlaub machen. Kleine zeitliche Mängel, könnte man erneuern( Risse an Mauer, Pool) um das Gesamtbild aufzufrischen. Etwas ungewöhnlich ist ,dass man beim Frühstück andere Kaffeearten (Cappuchino...) zahlen muss??? und an manchen Tagen schmeckt der Kaffee nach Tee(die Kannen sollte man nicht tauchen!!) Es war auf jeden Fall eine schöne Zeit!!

Heerlijk! + Mukdara is een prachtig complex in een schitterende tuin met een zeer groot zwembad en nog twee andere pools. Ontbijt aan het strand is uitgebreid en lekker. Wij hadden een kamer van 45 m2, die zijn wel wat gehorig. De villa’s zijn nog ruimer, maar ook duurder; o.i. niet nodig. Er zijn gelukkig voldoende lekkere ligbedden aan het mooie strand. Jammer niettemin dat er altijd mensen zijn die zelfs al voor het ontbijt ‘hun’ plekje menen te moeten reserveren. In de omgeving zijn ruim voldoende restaurants, massagesalons, etc. Hoewel nu nog voldoende in orde heeft het complex vrij snel onderhoud nodig voordat het er echt slecht gaat uitzien. Jammer dat er rond de receptie verschillende gebouwen en zalen ongebruikt staan. Wellicht de coronaperiode niet overleefd…

Excellent + Just got back from this beautiful hotel and resort. I've read reviews,the hotel is looking tired. Their was no evidence of this at all but we were staying in one of the villa's which was fabulous. The whole place is the epitome of tranquility and quintessentially Thai,set a few yards from the most beautiful, peaceful beach. Breakfast was adequate but not much choice for westerners. The hotel was predominantly occupied by Russians & Germans but this was the case throughout Khoi Lak. Our villa was cleaned to a high standard and bedlinen/towers changed every day. The pool areas are stunning. The main pool is just beautiful and until 3.00pm,so relaxing and calm. Happy hour begins at 3.00pm and on the dot,everyday, a large crowd of germans descended around the pool bar. They were very loud and completely dictated the area,spoiling the atmosphere and ruining it for others. The bar attendants played to the crowd & the music(heavy rock) was cranked up which completely ruine…

+ Wir hatten eine Villa, die vom Platzangebot her sehr großzügig und auch zweckmäßig ausgestattet war, inkl. Freiluftdusche. Frühstücksbuffet sehr üppig, für jeden was dabei. Lokale, Bars und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in Hülle und Fülle direkt vor der Anlage

Enjoyed every day + A pleasant hotel with a huge garden right on the beach. We stayed here for one week in a villa near the pool. The villa is very spacious and with comfortable beds, loved the outdoor shower and with birds and other small animals we enjoyed the balcony setting. The fan and air-con can be a little noisy, so we left the windows open. Food is ok at the restaurant and bar, and we had two delicious room services. Very close by are numerous shops and restaurants etc. providing a good variety and alternatives. Staff at the reception is very friendly but language skills (english) limited.

Needs updating + Good location in busy Kao lak. I agree with some of the comments that this hotel is in need of a makeover and this could be seen evidenced in our garden villa. Although very spacious it was extremely dark and the bathroom had a very worn bath with cracks and a rusty nail hanging out of the wall. That said the hotel does provide a very good breakfast with lots of choice for Asian and westerners. The pool grounds were also stunning.
