Wonderful Stay – Friendly Staff & Memorable Activities + We had such a wonderful stay! The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, the rooms were super clean and comfortable, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We also joined the cooking class and it was such a fun experience. Everyone there – Somkiat, Khin, Moe, Aung, and Thiha – was so sweet and made the class both enjoyable and easy to follow. Their explanations were clear, and the whole experience felt warm and welcoming. Highly recommended for anyone looking for both a great hotel stay and a memorable activity! 🌿🍳

Give me more, Explorar + I stayed at Explorar Koh Phangan for five nights, and it’s been a genuinely great experience. What stands out most is the service. It’s attentive, calm, and very personal — never forced, never overdone. You feel welcome and well looked after from the moment you arrive. The layout of the resort is beautiful. The tropical path that runs through the property gives the whole place a relaxed, natural flow, and just walking around feels peaceful. It’s clearly well thought through and well maintained. Breakfast is excellent and caters to everyone, whether you want something healthy, light, or more filling. It’s generous, high quality, and unhurried — exactly how breakfast on holiday should feel. The infinity pool is another highlight. Watching the sunset from there in the evening is something special and never gets old. Having a 7-11 literally across the street is a great convenience, and enjoying one of the signature drinks at the bar at night is almost mesmeri…

Mixed review + Hotel was lovely and staff couldn’t do enough for you. Right on the beach with sunbeds and beanbags to lounge on. The only downside was next door had an ongoing party which was so loud. The Explorer staff gave us a letter to notify us of this happening that evening and provided ear plugs, but did say if it was too much, that they did have emergency rooms if required for sleep. I had to phone at 1:45an as I literally couldn’t sleep. I tried the ear plugs and my ear phones with my phone at the loudest setting. I could still hear all the words to the songs and the bass vibrating the room. I was told by staff sorry no rooms and that would let management know the next day. They said the party would finishe between 3 and 4am. As you can imagine this was frustrating especially as I had a flight the next day. If you value your sleep then I wouldn’t bother with this hotel as think this is a regular thing. The eve before I could feel the bass through the room and bed.

Best Massage in 20 years + Stayed here for 6 nights. Had a couple of massages which were great. Last day had a massage with Jeab as the therapist and have to say it’s the best massage I have had in 20 years during travels in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Australia etc. The staff here are all very nice in all areas and very helpful. Food is also of a high standard.

On an island like Koh Phangan, where heat and humidity are relentless, this is not a minor inconvenience — it is genuinely unpleasant and makes rest almost impossible. Great couples resort to relax + Super clean resort. Some food and drink is a bit overpriced for portion or quality but happy hour buy one get one free is decent. Great service, beautiful view with infinity pool to beach. Great customer service… nice landscaping.. hour walk from fisherman’s village which we usually took a grab there and walked back. Nice atmosphere at hotel- good for unwinding or romance. Comfy beds with amazing air conditioning. Book the free rum tasting with local product- AMAZING. Thai cooking class was OK. They also offer free pizza class which we did not do.

Excellent Service + We loved our stay at Explorar, and having just stayed at their Koh Samui location, we have to admit we loved Koh Phagnan better! The layout feels much more private and the bathrooms were more spacious. Also, I give the staff and service there 5 stars— I left an expensive dress there and didn’t realize it was missing until arriving home in California. The staff promptly arranged to have my dress shipped to me when I got in contact with them and it arrived in just a few days. I can’t thank them enough for their professionalism and hospitality. We loved this place.

One of the best in Koh Phangnan for sure + I have just spent 6 wonderful days at this resort . I’ve travelled for 40 years and this would be one of the best for sure . From the impeccable friendly service from ALL the staff. You can not fault them at all . Rooms were spacious and clean and for value for money, you can not beat it. Breakfast was delicious and the view of beach is amazing . Bring adults only the atmosphere is good . They have happy hour , bingo , rum tasting etc . It was also my birthday whilst I was there and provided a beautiful birthday cake . You would be mad to miss this place .
