+ One may say it is expensive for thailande… but it worths the price. The hotel is incredible, really. Depending on what you are looking for, but Klhong Muang beach is not crowded at all compared to Ao nang. So peacefull with some good restaurants on the beach. Restaurants of the hotel are expensive compared to ones outside, indeed, but quality of the food is way higher.

Luxury last 3 days of honeymoon + This was just luxury for our last 3 nights of honeymoon the horizon sea view room was perfect, the bedding was the most comfortable & the best sleep we’ve ever had! The staff were all so friendly & the food was incredible, breakfast had so much choice the eggs Benedict cooked to perfection. We ate at Sala restaurant & by the pool also & both meals were fantastic. We can recommend the Lamb chops. We really can’t fault this hotel, the facilities, staff, food & rooms were all excellent to finish our holiday. The location was good for us & the beach club just across the road was a perfect spot on the beach. We actually booked this 2 weeks before as our original choice hotel on its own beach & needed a speedboat to get to suddenly started to get some really poor reviews & we were getting worried but we are so glad we changed to the Varana as it really was top class

Gorgeous hotel + This was the perfect start to our Thailand holiday. A beautiful hotel, clean and comfortable. We loved the range of wellness activities on offer without it feeling like a ‘wellness retreat’. The staff are incredible and can’t do enough to help you, super polite and friendly. We also loved the beach club across the road where Varana guests get free use of the beach beanbags. Perfect hotel in a great location.

+ Located on the west side of Krabi only 15 mins away from the night market. The facility has a lot of physical activities with an olympic swimming pool, boxing ring and a gym (indoor and outdoor).

Beautiful hotel + We stayed for 4 nights in the luxe plus room with pool view (we were upgraded from luxe pool view) and we had a view of the sea from the balcony as well which was a lovely surprise (room 241)! The pools were great - we spent a lot of time there with our 2 year old. The food is also excellent - definitely recommend the pizza if you want a break from Thai! We went to the naam spa experience which was incredible, and also ate at the sala restaurant - great view of the sunset and everything was delicious, especially the spicy grilled chicken! The location is ideal as its at a beautiful quiet beach but there are still plenty of restaurants, massage places, longboat tours etc and a 7-11 nearby. The hotel staff were so friendly and really made our stay feel special. We're already planning our next visit! Thank you, Varana!

+ Nice quiet location, you are able to relax and not think about work. Food is great on the resort or off the resort. Breakfast is amazing. I had my doubts but a solo half day trip to the outlying is a very good deal and much needed. Great way to see the island at your own pace. It could get crowded with other tourists and having a private boat is nice. Go during off season. It’s not crowded and the vide is very chill. Shout to all the staff and Albert who are patient and want you to have a nice and relaxing time.

+ Varana Hotel Krabi has the potential to be a wonderful hotel. However, during my stay there it was evident that the hotel was simply not ready -- not that the hotel rooms are not fully built (they are and they are wonderful), more so the activity areas. Multiple fitness/health areas were still under construction, there were three different schedules for activities that never matched, some of the "fitness courses" were either closed or had not been built, and every activity had an additional fee if you wanted to partake. While I understand that this may be because I visited during the low season, the lack of a "complete" hotel should have been stated. The hotel is just not ready for visitors who want to take advantage of the different offerings that Varana advertises.

Great hotel + We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Varana – a hotel that truly exceeded our expectations. The entire experience was marked by calmness, quality, and exceptional hospitality. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay, and we felt genuinely well taken care of from beginning to end. The fitness facilities are some of the best I’ve seen at any hotel, and the food was both healthy and delicious. It was especially impressive that much of the food is produced on-site – fresh, local, and sustainable. Breakfast was varied and beautifully presented, with plenty of healthy and tasty options. The pools were clean, beautiful, and relaxing, and the Beach Club connected to the hotel was a cool and stylish spot with a great vibe and high standards. A big thank you to the entire team at Varana

+ Fake advertising!! The hotel is not on the beach and does NOT have direct access to it despite claim on it web site and on Expedia including fake photo trying to prove otherwise!!( pics of beach from a business they collaborate with. You have to cross a busy road to get to the beach !! 2) there are no elevators to reach the reception or the breakfast restaurant!! 3) they make you wait when you check out until they have checked the room to make sure you did not take the TV with you ?!! And forcefully tell you to wait “ because that is the procedure “!!! Definitely not a 5 star property and should not be allowed to make false claims as being on the beach !!!
