Mr Wat, the star of Banyan Tree Bangkok + Banyan Tree Bangkok Renovation going on making the experience less than perfect. However, Mr Wat, has made it all up, with the most wonderful welcome when we arrive, to the fun tuk tuk ride to the Sala Daeng station

It was generally okay but left much to be desired. + The gym was nice. the staff were nice − the room was all carpet that was not very clean. the shower was tight, and I am actually a smaller person. The breakfast in other banyan tree branches was better.

Superb Hotel + Staff, breakfast, rooms, location. − Well its not really the Hotel's fault that I stayed during their reno / refurbishment. I hope they finish the job soon, and I look forward to another stay.

Beware renovations + It's a fine hotel with comfortable accommodation and nice buffet breakfast, in a location that we like. − The hotel is undergoing renovations which are not limited to the bar and upper restaurants. The ground floor lobby is currently closed off, so check-in even for non-Club rooms is on the 19th floor. Despite checking-in online (including uploading image of passport), which hotel messaging said would save time, we waited about 20 minutes to be checked in, with passports being copied again. The renovations mean there is some (intermittent) construction noise during working hours 7 days/week, as well as hoardings (which are well done) throughout many parts of the hotel including the pedestrian entrance. Our room, a serenity suite, was showing its age, with a noisy fan and insufficient lighting especially in the bathroom. Our room, which was in the lower section of the hotel (floor 26) had 3 sections - entrance lounge, bedroom and bathroom, of which only the entra…
