Wonderful place to bring a family for a vacation and to feel the Hawaiian island vibe. Highly recommend. + The beautiful landscaping and authentic Hawaiian decor. Loved all the plumeria trees. − The bed was softer than I prefer and at night the other doors close loudly and you can hear car alarms.

Wonderful, relaxing! + Tropical environment- trees, flowers, waterfalls, very relaxing Beach, nice path to walk; nice swimming pool and hot tub. Beautiful sunset. Food was good, plus received a 20% off! − Hot tub not hot in the morning.

Roaches + we have stayed here twice before. This time we encountered roaches in our condo. one actually jumped out behind the stove while we were cooking. also breakfast at the resort was very busy and one of the staff members lost his cool with the line and the waiting and started yelling and cussing people out and telling them he was crossing them off the list. Didn’t involve us, but was still pretty crazy to witness. We ended up leaving and not eating there that day.

We weathered the storm. + We had our flight back home canceled due to Hurricane Lala. We had to check out of another resort so were thrilled to be at the Ka’anapali Shores. The facilities were clean and the staff was helpful and friendly.

+ La ubicación a minutos en auto de los lugares que queríamos visitar. La pequeña playa que está en el hotel desde donde en la mañana se pueden ver también tortugas marinas. − Que la limpieza de la habitación se tuviese que pagar extra, que nadie retirara las toallas sucias aunque avisáramos y el olor a encierro de algunos muebles y closet. El estacionamiento se paga aparte también.

The Aloha Hospitality from 20 years ago is gone + My family and I went Aug 2026. This would be our 4th time at this resort. Sadly, it will be our last. The Aloha friendly front desk, gate & restaurant staff are gone. Our first time in 2006 was amazing with great service and hospitality. I only gave the 2 stars because it’s a great location on the beach. Sadly, no A hui hoi this time. Tip: staff- people save & spends lots of money to come there to vacation and will have questions about rooms, local attractions etc… if this bothers you, time to retire or rethink of a new field of work. Look up “hospitality”, if you don’t have that human connection, don’t work in this area.

Bad Experience in 806 + Kaanapali Shores unit 806. We rented this unit in August 2026. We found the unit to be very rundown and dirty. The mold odor was overwhelming and the air was thick! The walls, refrigerator, cabinets, ceiling tiles, drapes, lights, all had visible mold growing on them. Needless to say, we left asap!

Goin to make it my staycation once a year!!!! + Love the property. I’m born and raised here on Maui this was my second time staying at the Aston and I love it. Second memory added to the photo album and more to come. − There was nothing I didn’t like about my stay.
