Staff were brilliant, so friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend. + Everything was fantastic. I highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Aberdeen. − There was nothing to dislike.

Lovely staff, shame about beds, noise and wifi + Lovely staff, slightly dated building, very close to the airport (5 mins door to door). Bath and shower excellent, and breakfast exactly what was needed. − Be prepared for the noise: 1. Directly under the main runway flight path means planes and helicopters taking off directly above you from 0600 to 2200. Ear plugs reduce most of it, but be ready 2. Some internal doors slam, and noise carries down corridors 3. Doors to rooms need to be pulled hard to close, then slam. (Could probably sort that with some silicon grease) Beds 1. Mattress is a cheap and very, very soft Ikea mattress - really not very comfortable 2. Mattress covers are also of the awful plastic variety - very uncomfortable to sleep on with 0 breathability - made worse by a super soft mattress Wifi Whilst free and easy to access, I found it to barely have any bandwidth to speak of, so reverted to hotspotting (which also struggles due to lack of signal, but somehow still b…

Ok for one-night stay + The staff were friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable and clean. Toiletries were provided. The hotel was easy to get to by bus from central Aberdeen. There was a good selection of tea etc plus biscuits. − On entering the room, there was a smell of mustiness. It may be because the room hadn't been aired in a while. There were hot chocolate sachets but these were wrinkled, suggesting that they had been there a long time, so we didn't use them. Around the half-door of the bath/shower, there are some areas of black mould. Breakfast was ok but the corn flakes didn't have the full-bodied taste you would normally expect so again I wondered how long the individual packets had been kept for. The hotel was fine for a one-night stay but I think it could do with updating.

Good value + We enjoyed our stay and the staff were great. Room was a bit tired but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful. Would be happy to stay again.
