A most wondrous view! + The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking, stunning! This view must be one of the best views ever for a hotel room. We saw two whales at about 8.00 in the morning. The fact that large parts of the sea, rocks, and the large cave was lit at night made it difficult to go to sleep! This hotel should be a must-visit for locals and foreigners.

I enjoyed my stay at the point hotel. The view and everything was really nice. The breakfast was also nice. They can + Just do more in the shower...mould in the shower....they must use jik or something else to clean the grout

We had a wonderful stay. + Everything was exceptional - Staff, room, breakfast, location. − The toilet had a bit of a smell (but I don't know if it uses recycled water or fresh water). If it uses fresh water, the toilets should not smell. Not enough extra blankets.

The Point Hotel & Spa Disaster Mossel Bay + We have checked out of The Point Hotel & Spa in Mossel Bay ( Aug 21 / 2026)today… What a beautiful location & what a dismal experience as we booked a “Honeymoon Suite” where the room had the bare minimum only a queen sized bed & 2 arm chairs and old mismatched coffee table, no accent foot carpet / No luggage Stand! / no hand towel / no vanity ear buds or shower cap / there was no Couch or even a table to sit at for room service, we ordered the room service & most of the items we asked for were out of stock/ They have advertised False Information with regards to their “Michelin Star Chef” FALSE ADVERTISING they don’t have one! it was the worst meal we have had and we only ordered a soup & a smash burger & received the wrong order…we had to ask the room service staff to get us a table on which to eat the meal & they lugged in a wet Plastic table that we used one of the ONLY two towels as a table cloth… When we spoke to the manager Andre at bre…

I had a good experience overall. + Breakfast was great, we enjoyed it. − The crossants were seemed abit stale, maybe they could add variety on that side of the table and also try to do something to keep the birds away that were eating there.

We didn’t find the establishment worthy of a 4 star rating. + The views was beautiful and staff friendly and efficient. − After recommendations from staff we decided to dine in one night to try their curry. Once there we were told we could choose between chicken or fish curry. The waiter returned some time later to advise that the chef refused to cook our meal because he was preparing vegetarian curry for a couple at another table. We were shocked and very disappointed at the chef’s poor and unprofessional service.
