+ Unlike other Mercure hotels I have stayed at, this particular one did not leave quite the same impression. It was still good, but felt rather ordinary. First of all, I would say that the breakfast at other Mercure hotels I’ve visited was much better. The reception was also very busy, probably because of the large number of tourists. It wasn’t even possible to arrange a late check-out for just one extra hour, even for an additional fee. Overall, it didn’t quite have the Mercure feeling I’ve experienced at other locations — except for the familiar scent. 😊 That said, it is still a good-quality hotel overall.

Overpriced stay + The AC works perfectly quiet. The location is great. − The room is really small, even for two. There is no slippers. The hair conditioner didn't refilled during the stay, the bottle was almost empty, I struggled to get any amount of it. For 2 people we got 1 shower cap and 1 sanitary set with cotton pads and cotton sticks. During the parking booking no one told the parking is underground, we had to call to the reception when arrived.

Very pleasant stay in a convenient city centre location minutes from the beach. + We found the family room comfortable and the kids enjoyed the bunk beds. Staff were friendly and the receptionist gave us a recommendation for a local restaurant (De Grote Post) which turned out to be a fabulous meal in an art-deco former postal office. − The lift is very small and I had to wait a good 10 minutes before I could get in it with our suitcases when checking out.

+ Perfecte ligging. Straat oversteken en je bent op het strand. Ontbijt was heel erg goed en tot 11.00 uur wat toch net iets relaxter is als je vakantie hebt. Koffie en thee op de kamer en wij hadden ook flesjes water staan. Klein koelkastje op de kamer. Ik zou zeker terug gaan. − De wc-rol houder zat niet echt handig aan de muur. Als je ging zitten stootte je er de hele tijd tegenaan. Die zou misschien iets verplaatst moeten worden.
