+ The breakfast and high-tea were great. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. − Upon arrival in our room, the bin had not been emptied from the previous guests and gave off a nasty smell. However, this was quickly attended to once reception was informed.

Wonderful Memories on our 56th wedding anniversary + Friendly welcome from staff and a glass of bubbly Outstanding breakfast & dinner. Beautiful location. As we were celebrating our 56 year wedding anniversary a surprise was placed in our room, thank you very much & much appreciated. We appreciated the walk in shower which was more in keeping for our age group. − Very weak wifi. Underfloor heating didn't seem to work in bedroom area. Would be nice to have an electric blanket Dining room - would it be possible for staff to check unstable tables before guests arrive for meals. Although plates were warm the cooked food was cold on arrival at table. Parking - clear instructions from staff member on 1 way system as we were doing 3 point turns.

I great escape - can't wait to return! + The breakfast buffet was an absolute feast...with champagne and a great variety of fresh juices. The weather was perfect, so we sat at a table outside overlooking the beautiful Franschhoek mountains, the pool and the lush garden. − I can't think of anything.

Lovely setting. Ok facilities. Probably better in summer than winter. + Lovely to look at. Two bedroom cottages very spacious. − We went in winter and the cottage took a while to heat up. It was also very windy and bits of the thatched roof rained down on the bed. The en-suite bathroom was cramped and poorly designed. The door scrapes against the was basin stand and you have to clamber around the toilet to get into the shower.

+ We loved the hot water bottles that was found inside the bed as we climbed in and the heated floors in the room and bathroom. Nice and cozy ! − It was very noisy where our room was situated. Got woken up around 6am from staff talking and loud sounds.

Perfect getaway spot in Franschoek. + Comfortable rooms. Very spacious with all amenities. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Very central location with easy access to town and other attractions with a regular shuttle for guests. − Nothing at all.

Even better than the photos! + The property was even better than it looks on Booking.com. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, everything was spotlessly clean, and there was a wonderful sense of privacy. Our room had three large bedrooms and felt like a cozy country home. Breakfast was outstanding and the staff were warm, friendly, and helpful. We only wish we could have stayed for more than one night. We would definitely love to come back! − Loved everything
