Not worth the money. + This is not a five star resort, maybe 20 years ago when it was built but needs a major upgrade. Way overpriced. The grounds around the hotel are amazing well taken care of. This is a timeshare resort and because of that you are constantly having to get scanned to make sure you are an all inclusive guest. Buffet is not open for lunch, food not that great anyways. Odd thing all restaurants do is no salt and pepper shakers on the table, you have to ask your already busy waiter and by the time you get the shakers you have finished and ready to leave. We were told by our Nexus bus guide not to drink the water, but they don’t even put water in the room. The beach is not swimable, very rocky, very difficult to even get onto the beach as old access was destroyed and not rebuilt, impossible if you have any mobility issues. Note about Sunday brunch at the buffet, get in and out early as all local timeshare owners come, they also take over 30% of pool chairs, all reserved…

Great experience at Pueblo Bonito + I have been going to Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan for over 15 years and they never disappoint. The front desk is exceptional, especially Patty, Sofia, and Carlos. They have great customer service and I look forward to seeing them every year. Francisco and Raul are great bell-hops. On the beach and Pool, Oscar , Noe, and Juan are very efficient and fast. At the Las Palomas, Miguel is the best waiter for breakfast. He fills my coffee every 5 minutes. He gets me fresh bacon and my friend eggs ranchero. He is always nice and gives great customer service. I will always go to Pueblo Bonito every year! Thank you Pueblo Bonito.

Exceptional Service at Pueblo Bonito’s Angelo’s + We had an incredible stay at Pueblo Bonito! From the moment we arrived, the property was beautiful, clean, and welcoming. The views, the atmosphere, and the overall experience truly made our trip memorable. A special highlight was dining at Angelo’s restaurant. The service from Alfonso Tostado and Alejandro Gallardo was absolutely top notch. They were attentive, professional, and genuinely warm, the kind of service that elevates a great meal into an unforgettable experience. They anticipated our needs, made thoughtful recommendations, and made us feel completely taken care of. Thank you to the entire Pueblo Bonito team for such a wonderful stay. We’ll definitely be back!

Angelo’s Mazatlan + We had a great experience at Angelo’s Mazatlan thanks to Alfonso Tostado. Alfonso was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere was very nice, relaxed and inviting and the food was excellent. The catch of the day was the best we’ve had. Highly recommend asking for Alfonso if you’re dining here!

Smaller Footprint + Great area, smaller footprint, good food although not available 24/7. There are no fridges in the clean modern rooms, so you are constantly asking for water, drinks. The beach is impressive. Lots of vendors and the mariachi band kicks in late afternoon. There are 2 pools, one side is quieter, activities at the other. Easy to get transportation off resort. Larger sister resort is quite far, at least 15 min bus ride, and its isolated. Waiters are attentive. First time in Mazatlan, I would travel back here.

PBB Mazatlan + Honest review of this Resort My wife and I have been to probably around 35 all inclusive Resorts in Mexico so we do consider ourselves experienced. This resort did not disappoint. From Check-in to check out it was very good. Cons: Only 2 really. The first one is can the property please spend a few thousand dollars in this resort and put some hangers and towel bars in the bathroom? And drawers in the room would be great too. No one wants to live out of their suitcase for their entire duration. The other con though would make me not want to come back to this resort or anywhere in Mazatlan again. What is with those annoying bands playing on the beach?! On Sunday, we counted 5 of them going to each and every Mexican Family sitting on the Beach and asking them if they could play a song (?) for them for money. We were there for 7 days and the bands were there for 5 of the days. TOO LOUD! And terrible too! My daughters grade 10 band would have made this guys look/…

The beach was absolutely amazing, and every part of the resort exceeded expectations. The staff was outstanding, especially at Cilantro restaurant, where Brayham and Eulam provided exceptional service.

A great getaway! + Loved our week long stay at PB Mazatlan. We were upgraded when we arrived, so this was a great surprise. Pros: The beach at PB Mazatlan is beautiful - it is much more accessible and family friendly than the sister resort PB Emerald Bay. What makes PB Maz great are the people - we had wonderful service from the front desk (Sofia), housekeeping (Dulce) and Ramon (beach bar service). Cons: Some of the public spaces need a refresh and maintenance. The deck chairs at Cilantro’s restaurant are broken, the washrooms near the buffet are cleaned often but need serious maintenance, and the washrooms near the deli smelled like sewage, everyday. Overall, our first stay PB Maz was very nice. We look forward perhaps visiting in the future.

mazatlán gem + we stayed here for 2 weeks and really enjoyed it so I'll try to highlight the positives and negatives cons: - when checking in you have to get your bracelet activated and the lady that was doing it was aggressively trying to get us to do a timeshare presentation, super annoying! - no swim up bar, the website says this resort has a swim up bar but that's not the case - our room had no fridge - not really any place to watch sports, was hoping to watch hockey here but I guess they didn't have those channels. there's a nice sports bar not far down the road though - it can be a bit noisy in the room because the resort is on a main street pros: - location! right in town, tons of restaurants and shops right across the street and a quick drive to the malecon and centro! - resort in general! the lobby and common areas, our room, restaurants and the grounds of the resort are all in beautiful shape and everything just looks so nice! - pools and beach! beach has nice soft …

The most amazing staff and hotel experience! + My family and I traveled to Mazatlan Mexico and stayed at the beautiful Pueblo Bonito Hotel in the golden zone. We had an absolutely wonderful trip, and it is a fabulous place to vacation. It wasn't just this city however, it was the the Pueblo Bonito staff that made this trip so memorable! I would like to bring special attention to Patty, the front desk manager and her exceptional front desk staff, as well as Carlos the bell desk manager and his amazing bellman, all of whom go above and beyond to ensure an absolutely perfect stay at the hotel! Thank you, Patty and Carlos and all of you at Pueblo Bonito for making my family feel like your family! I cannot wait for our next visit which will be coming soon!

some good some bad + My husband and I stayed at the Pueblo Bonito Mazatland for 12 days in March of 2026. This is a little long however there was a lot to share This is a time share we did not know this when we booked. Lets start with the good things: The service staff are wonderful the rooms are clean, the linens and towels are bright white and clean. The grounds and the hallways are clean and well cared for. The food is good however the menu never changes, the ala carte restaurants have a small menu, it’s very good food however after a few days you are eating the same thing over again. The pool bar food is just ok again very limited. The location of the hotel is great, close to the Gold Zone yet far enough away so it is less noisy. Walking distance to great restaurants and stores. However it is on a very busy street that is noisy all the time. The Bad things We booked a King Luxury suit, when we got our room we were assigned 2 beds, The front office offered us another room which w…

Mazatlan Gem + Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan Beach Resort exceeded our expectations. We loved the smaller resort vibe, the beautiful sandy beach, the bandas music and the exceptional staff! We had wonderful service by the pool from Richardo, Juan, Noe and Antonio. They all provided outstanding, attentive service and made us feel special like we were family. We also loved the service in the Italian restaurant from Alejandro Ibarra who was charming, funny and professional. The location of the resort is perfect. You can walk to the Golden Zone in 30 minutes or it is easy to take transportation from the hotel as well. Centro is a must-see! We loved the live music and garden restaurants in Centro. We felt incredibly safe in the tourist areas. Our only con for the resort were the beds. They were hard and very uncomfortable. Despite the hard beds, we would definitely return to Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan Beach Resort for the small resort feel and the staff!!!

Not as described. Beware. + The website for Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan does not correctly describe the resort. There are not 5 restaurants. There are physically 3 restaurants. The buffet, Paloma becomes-Pescados - Asian Fusion for dinner. There is a picture of what Pescados used to look like on the website along with a menu. Both are not a true representation of what Pescados is now. The food is barely edible in our opinion. One dish I did try had a 225 peso upcharge for shrimp! The picture of Cilantro’s is not what the restaurant Cilantro’s looks like at the PB Mazatlan. The menu is also not correct. Angelo’s has been a staple in Mazatlan for a number of years and was very nice to dine in. The room had a coffee maker but no coffee. If you wanted coffee for the machine it was 30 pesos. No bottled water in the room. You had to ask for bottled water at the bar. No refrigerator in the room and you could not rent one from the resort. There are 2 pools but no swim up bars . The bar near each …
