A damp, fly-infested suite with an advertised bathroom sealed shut, followed by an attempted €200-per-night upsell inste − Disappointing treatment from a supposedly luxury hotel Our stay at the JW Marriott Venice was disappointing and fell far below any reasonable expectation of a five-star hotel. We had booked what was advertised as a suite with two bathrooms, yet the second bathroom was completely inaccessible. When we initially questioned this, the hotel claimed that “the rooms are all different,” implying that our suite simply did not have the advertised second bathroom. This explanation was insulting and plainly did not match what we could see. The bathroom door was still inside our suite, but its handle had been removed and a screw had been driven through the door to ensure that it could not be opened. As the suite was on the ground floor, we could even see the sealed-off bathroom from outside the building through its window. It was obvious that a bathroom existed but had del…

Здесь прекрасно всё: персонал — супер, отель — шикарный, территория — просто вау! 🔥 Отдельно понравилась атмосфера и публика — всё действительно соответствует уровню и статусу отеля. Однозначно рекомендую на 100%! Место, куда хочется вернуться снова. 👌

DONT STAY HERE! 2 Star at best + The entrance in is amazing, and the cooking course we did is fabulous. − We had several serious concerns: Around the children’s pool, many of the surrounding tiles were cracked. We witnessed a man’s foot go through one of them, which raised an obvious safety concern. The sunbeds were stained and poorly maintained. The pool staff were unfriendly and made the area feel unwelcoming. The water in one of the fountains was dark green and appeared unhygienic, yet children were putting their hands into it. The hotel’s interior felt very dated and institutional, more like its former use as a hospital than a luxury five-star property. The food and drinks were excessively priced, including €13 for a beer, without the quality or overall experience to justify those prices. Perfect Family Escape + We had a wonderful stay at the JW Marriott Venice. Our room was spacious and offered lovely views of the gardens. The staff were warm, attentive, and incredibly accommodating with every request, and the concierge team was especially helpful. The beautiful pools, padel court, and stunning gardens were real highlights. Although the hotel is large, it never felt busy or overcrowded. Its peaceful island setting feels like a relaxing escape from central Venice, while the frequent complimentary shuttle service to St. Marco Square makes exploring the city incredibly easy. A fantastic place to stay! − What we didn’t like was the lack of arrival information. When we arrived in Venice, we had no idea how to get to the hotel. We were not given any instructions, and there was no mention of the free shuttle or its pick-up point. Dragging our luggage around in 36°C heat was extremely difficult and frustrating. My advice is to find out exactly where the shuttle departs from …
