A bit short of my expectations + I really wanted this to be 5 stars. But a few things kept that from happening. First, even as a titanium status it is difficult to get reservations at the 3 restaurants that require them. We were there for 5 nights. We had to call multiple times to get our room cleaned. They didn’t replenish the mini bar until the end. The food was not awful but wasn’t excellent. Some of the staff at the bars seemed like they didn’t want you be there and did not make you feel welcomed. I wanted IT to be amazing, but it just was not.

A fantastic location, with few faults + We had an amazing family vacation over spring break. I agree with the last reviewer that restaurant reservations were difficult to secure, and you have to be prompt by 8am to make them. Setting an alarm on vacation is never ideal, but in the grand scheme, that is not a major complaint. I also agree with the last reviewer that bar staff seemed disinterested in serving us or keeping the bar area clean. The exception being the bar at the main lobby where the service was excellent. The rooms were clean, beautiful, and comfortable. The grounds are well kept and also very beautiful. The beach was amazing as were the pools. The food was good (often not wow) but lots of variety. As with the last review, I concur the in-room mini bar was not well stocked. I would absolutely stay there again. I thought it was beautiful. Maybe bar service was off because it was busy with spring break. I would definitely recommend this for a fun family vacation.

Best Spring Break Ever! + We had an absolutely fabulous time at the Westin Reserva Conchal over spring break! The resort itself is stunning, with breathtaking views and incredible wildlife—iguanas, monkeys, and colorful birds everywhere added so much to the experience. We loved the beach, the pool, and the live music, and the dining options were delicious. A huge shoutout to Erik G. (blue google shirt) who made booking adventures for our large group seamless. From waterfalls and volcano tours to jungle hikes with sloths and a coffee/chocolate farm tour with tastings, everything went perfectly. Highly recommend him for anyone looking to explore the area! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Westin Ressrva Conchal and hope to return soon.

Amazing Time at Westin Conchal + This Westin was a marvelous choice with my partner and 2 teenage girls in tow on spring break! Check-in was very organized and done by the family concierge team of Maria Jose and Joaquin (who was an excellent personal concierge the whole week - highly recommend him). They had everything ready for us and gave us a very organized breakdown of the property, dining, activities, etc. Joaquin made reservations for dinner for us each night. The property is highly staffed and there's always people around to help. Even with bartenders, sometimes an all inclusive spot can take forever to get drinks and food and this was not the case here. Extremely satisfied with the service. Room was cold and comfortable (it was hot out) and we slept 4 pretty well with the pull out couch. Room service and items came quickly. Memories to last a lifetime + My family stayed at the Westin Reserva Conchal for 5 nights. We had the most amazing stay! Our unit was a short walk to the beach and pool. The grounds were well maintained and every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. Housekeeping was wonderful and hotel staff helped with temperature sensitive items we were traveling with. There were many activities and programs that you could participate in. Kids enjoyed ping-pong by the pool, boogie boarding and paddle boarding. All activities and gear was included with our stay. Food was delightful. We utilized Mitra Market for breakfast and several dinners. Food was fresh and wait staff could accommodate any special requests or allergies. We loved eating at the specialty restaurants- Italian, Seafood and Costa Rican cuisine was top notch. The hotel offers so many fun activities. Lets Get Some Things Straight + I want to comment on some of these bad reviews and explain them to you. I dont know if these people were just having a bad day or just like to complain about stuff. - "The Bungaloes are remote". To be clear it is a five minute walk to almost anyplace on the property (excluding the lobby). So don't tell me that the bungaloes are remote. Now I understand if you are disable of have health problems, but even so there are golf carts that can pick you up and bring you to your destination. - "Golf cart Drivers wont pick me up". There are 100's of people at the resort and you want the drivers to pick you up whenever you want? The drivers are going around all day and sometimes they are gonna miss your road. Again if you really need to be somewhere start early and just walk to the place - "The vendors are relentless". Amazing Spring Break + Just spent an amazing week for Spring Break at the Westin resort in Playa De Conchal! The most attentive and friendly staff were very helpful cheerful and responsive to our needs. We wish we had a few more says to explore Costa Rica. Our excursions were VERY well planned and coordinated by Erik G. (Blue shirt google ) on the BEach entrance outside the Westin - we didn’t have to worry he had everything smoothly coordinated from a private driver to the La Leona Waterfall and Zip Lining and a beautiful lunch at the ranch of the zip line location . It was an adventurous day for our family and my son enjoyed every second. If you need any plans for excursions Erik G is your Man! Would definitely rerun to this resort again!

Wonderful Family Resort + My family stayed at the Westin for a week and found it to be an excellent value for money, we enjoyed the food, rooms and facilities . We ate at most of the restaurants where food was excellent, especially the Italian, tapas bar, Faisanella and the lunch spot by the pool. The kids loved the fuze ball and ping pong, and I enjoyed morning yoga and water aerobics, I will definitely do the biking and hiking next time. We had a great day trip to a waterfall, we loved our excursion and our tour guide was so sweet and took us to stop for some medicine and even Starbucks for the teen. We booked with Erik G (he has google blue shirt ) google him. He was a great coordinator and resource to have, I would definitely recommend. All in all I highly recommend this resort and our whole family enjoyed our stay, best of all we never felt crowded or searching for beach chairs etc. it is a very well laid out resort and very easy to get around.

Absolutely incredible! + We traveled with fives families and this resort had it all for all ages! We had an absolute blast and never felt like it was too busy to accommodate all of us anytime! The spa was beautiful and the boys enjoyed a day on the golf course, go early as its really hot super early. One of the most fun excursions we did as a group was through a tour guide Eric G. in a blue shirt at the resort where we went hiking to the waterfalls! It was absolutely incredible!

Hard pass + Had high expectations, as we had been here 15 years ago. Sadly, we will never be back again. Terrible experience. The check-in process was a nightmare. They messed-up our booking. Was supposed to be paid with points and they said they did not see it on their end and "not their problem." The Manager was a jerk and not helpful at all. The food was terrible. Three of the restaurants need reservations and you need to wake at 8 am to make them the same day or you are out of luck. So stupid. The pool is huge, but horrible for kids. Most of the pool is 5 or 6 feet and the volleyball area is 5 feet, so too tall for most kids. The swim-up bar takes forever to get a drink and the bartenders are grumpy and rude. Also beware of the aggressive iguanas if you eat by the pool. We saw a young boy get bitten by an iguana and one charged our food and stole my daughter's pizza. The rooms are fine. Incredible Spring Break at Westin Reserva Conchal – Perfect for Families! + We spent spring break at the Westin Reserva Conchal with three elementary‑aged kids, and the entire experience was nothing short of wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality and service were truly top‑notch. Every staff member we encountered made us feel welcome and cared for. The kids were absolutely delighted by the wildlife around the property — spotting howler monkeys, iguanas, and beautiful birds became part of our daily routine. Our rooms were comfortable and relaxing, a perfect retreat after long days of adventure. We booked all of our excursions with the vendors right on the beach, and they did not disappoint. Very disappointed + This was not the experience the Westin brand supposed to deliver. At arrival (family club ) when we got to our room, it smelled like mold, and not a little bit. It was a certifiable health hazard. It took 2 hours (!!!) to sort this out and would’ve been longer if wasn’t for a maintenance person (who was there doing something else) making yet another call for us. After stressful and frustrating 2+ hours, we were finally given a different room. The beach experience was disappointing - lots of garbage around (it was being picked up but still). The jet skis were being rented right there, so besides going right through where people were swimming, the constant fumes were not a pleasant experience. Lastly - as we were departing (which was shortly before noon), we were still allowed to use the property and go grab lunch, now I get a charge in my card for it for $45 for two slices of pizza. Seriously?! It was offered as complimentary service at an all inclusive hotel. All …

Can’t wait to return! + This is a wonderful resort. The grounds are so large and so beautiful. The sound of the howler monkeys is really something unusual. I was impressed by all the staff. We stayed in the Club area, and everyone was so attentive. Monica, a club concierge, worked very hard on an issue for me. We were in tower one in a suite. The club pool area, and the restaurant for breakfast were very relaxing. Thank you to all the staff at this very well run resort. It was our first time in Costa Rica and we will definitely come back to the Westin Reserva.

Costa Rica Vacation + We had an amazing stay at The Westin Reserva Conchal. Beautiful beach, lush grounds filled with wildlife, and spacious, comfortable rooms. Food options were varied and high quality for an all‑inclusive, especially the à la carte restaurants and the staff were for absolutely amazing, friendly and attentive. A perfect spot to relax and enjoy a luxury Costa Rica getaway. We did several excursions and Erik G was a wonderful entrepreneur organizing our tours.

Loved the Westin in Costa Rica + We had the best time in Costa Rica and I'd highly recommend the Westin. Was great for family's and teenagers. Staff was great and the beach was beautiful. Rooms were a perfect size for a family of 4 including grown teenagers. I'd highly recommend a massage on the beach and look for Erik G with a blue Google shirt on right as you enter the beach. He took great care of us with transportation and booking excursions. Very reliable. All around we had a wonderful trip.

Nothing short of perfect. + Traveling outside of the United States always seems to cause some form of anxiety. Costa Rica is nothing short of amazing, the airport was easily navigated the van service was excellent. Upon arrival at the Westin Reserva Conchal, we were shuttled to the Family Concierge and met with Yuliana Herrera who did an amazing things throughout the stay. Anything we needed she was always there to assist, pool, dining you name it. Also, the Assistant Manager Katherin Gutierrez always was there to ensure our experience met our high expectations. This Property is incredibly beautiful, and the Staff take it to another level. A special shout out to Samuel Hidalgo, who was responsible for the recreation Yoga, Stretching, Water Aerobics just to name a few. I have over 1100 nights with Marriott. High expectations but fell short + Some statements about our stay... We were there for the beach/pool, that's it. No interest in golfing. Besides it was way too hot for that stuff and the sun was crazy strong. Must apply sunscreen at least once per hour to be safe. First: the water - the resort is on a beautiful beach. The cove is a large area and the water was wonderfully warm. The main pool is huge. There is only one, so it better be. The water temperature here was also very nice. The pool hours state 8am to 5pm (i think) but many times the guys cleaning the pool were there long after 8am. I was there at 6am to claim chairs, so I watched the process. This is another situation where there is too much to do and not enough people. There were 4 guys cleaning every morning but the pool is way too big. 8 people would be the right number at minimum to finish by 8am open time. Second: the staff - this was hit or miss. Felt like 50% was eager to help and 50% was dreading being there. We …

Amazing Resort and Excursions! + Incredible resort! The pool and activities area was great with the kids. The food throughout the resort was great. If you’re looking for a great set of activities, reach out to Conchal Fun. We did a private sailboat sunset cruise and snorkeling, fishing, UTVs and surf lessons in Tamarindo. We would highly recommend all of them!

Vacation goes too fast! + We’re towards the end of our stay but wanted to review the property while everything was fresh in my mind! The hotel grounds, staff and location are tremendous! The family pool is a little deep for my tastes but overall we’ve had a great experience! We haven’t take advantage of enough of the amenities, but the gym and numerous food options are a plus! Additionally we worked with Erik G ( google him he has a blue shirt) for both horseback riding and an ATV tour. Both of which I highly recommend! Finally Valentina from dinner tonight was tremendous!

Fantastic Spring Break! + The Westin Reserva Conchal was a perfect spring break destination. The resort is clean, staff is attentive and friendly, evening entertainment is plentiful and the pool is steps away from a beautiful beach. We coordinated airport transfers and catamaran and waterfall/ zip lining excursions through Erik Garcia (blue Google shirt). Best decision. Erik did an amazing job managing every detail and was always a text away. Top notch service. My children took advantage of the table tennis and foosball tables as well as pickle ball courts and organized water polo games. We loved all of the healthy meal choices for children.. and my children loved the swim up bar. It was a fabulous week all around!
