Snobbish. Nouvelles rich oriented + Nothing − Rosewood São Paulo gives the unfortunate impression of being a hotel where guests are assessed according to how they are dressed, rather than welcomed according to the standards one would expect from a property of this supposed calibre. The attitude of the staff appears distinctly uncomfortable towards leisure travellers who may wish to sit at a restaurant table after spending an entire day exploring the city, or indeed after arriving from a 14-hour flight from Dubai, without first dressing for an occasion. At Le Jardin, the experience was particularly disappointing. Hostesses could be heard making comments about guests while chatting among themselves, while at breakfast the reception desk was at times simply left unattended. The security staff were unnecessarily intrusive and, on occasion, frankly discourteous in their interactions with hotel guests.
