The perfect Tokyo family vacation. + We had a family vacation at the Four Seasons Otemachi in January of 2026. The entire stay at the hotel was perfect. The service was exceptional. The rooms were spotless. The entire team at the hotel was so gracious and welcoming. The service is impeccable. The food excellent, and the spa was lovely. The restaurant for breakfast was delicious and Virtu the bar was also perfect. Our family of 6 had a great stay . We are looking forward to returning soon. A great location and wonderful vacation for us. Thank you Four Seasons.

THE best hotel in Tokyo... and one of the best Four Seasons' we've been too... amazing views and excellent service! + A fabulous, truly fabulous hotel on the top of Tokyo. Incredible service, location and decor. Not cheap but has a better view than the Aman, which is almost twice the price in a lesser location. We had booked a quick trip to Japan as a last-minute summer vacation. After briefly checking the weather (this was in June), Tokyo seemed temperate and we flew over from LA. Little did we know the rainy season had just began. It was pouring the day we arrived but the clouds eventually parted and we found ourselves at this swanky hotel. The weather mostly cooperated during our stay then got incredibly hot. Initially, we booked an Imperial Palace view... which technically it was. That said, it faced south and was narrower than the better, larger rooms facing west and Shinjuku. So after some polite negotiating at the front desk, we were very kindly upgraded for the better part of …

AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING! + I am late in writing this review from our trip to Japan, (November - December 2025) but cannot say enough positive things about our TWO stays at the FS Tokyo Otemachi!! We stayed for 3 nights on our arrival to Japan (Tokyo) and then four nights at the end of our trip. PROS: Arrival experience was 5*, great arrival lobby, escorted up to lobby on 39th(?) floor with spectacular views of Mt. Fuji! (we were lucky that it was clear on all days of both of our stays except for one!) Checked-in directly in our suite (wonderful upgrade for our first 3 nights)! One of the most spectacular suites we have had at a FS property, corner suite with stunning views from the bed and bath and living room of Mt. Fuji and Tokyo Wonderful welcome amenities celebrating our birthday(s) and anniversary, very personalized Extremely comfortable bed and linens Super spacious bathroom(s) - there were two full baths in the suite, but the master bath was well laid out, great water pr…

Nowhere else I'd rather be in Tokyo. + This is the only place I ever want to stay in Japan. The hotel itself is breathtaking, centrally located for sightseeing, flawlessly run, comfortable generous rooms and bedding, the shower---I'll miss that perfect shower pressure--the jammies (I bought them-- so yummy), perfection housekeeping, small touches like sakura cord wraps on your electronics, amazing service, the General manager greeted us every morning like old friends. Breakfast was delicious, prompt, and easy. But the other main reason I wouldn't stay anywhere else is because of Ui and the concierge team who made our pre-arrival arrangements so seamless. I can't tell you the amount of emails I exchanged with this team and they never seemed bothered, were always professional and ridiculously helpful. The logistics of Japan are not always easy if you aren't going through a travel agent all inclusive, but I didn't want that because I didn't want to lock in all day tours every day. …

Four Seasons - A dying Brand? + The Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi presents, at first glance, exactly what one expects from the brand. The design is elegant, the rooms are refined, and the overall environment is calm and composed. On the surface, it is polished and professional. However, once you move beyond that surface, the experience begins to unravel. We paid for an upgraded room, only to be downgraded on arrival due to occupancy. That is disappointing, but more importantly, it was poorly handled. There was no ownership, no recovery, and no real sense of care. We had also arranged a bottle of champagne for our arrival to celebrate our anniversary. It was not delivered. When we raised this, we were told outright that no such booking had been made. Only after presenting written confirmation did the position change, and even then, the response lacked professionalism. The tone, reaction, and body language were dismissive and inappropriate for a hotel of this calibre. This seem…

Certainly one to Consider + Exceptional hotel in every way. Across from the Imperial Gardens, everything was convenient to its location. Service was incredibly attentive and instant without making you feel “crowded”. All amenities matched.

Very direct and dismissive welcome. + Dismissive, very direct and bordering on rude. Our check in experience was not Japanese at all. You will find a better welcome at the Ritz Carlton with a better hard product.

Spacious room, excellent breakfast + We had very good experience from checkin to checkout. The room is spacious, sadly the rooftop of other building has blocked the view. The breakfast was the nicest I have ever had. Variety of selection and food rotated day to day. Must try bento set. The gym was large with good choices of equipment. Enough counter space for all your stuff, luggage, and hangers for clothes. Close to Imperial Palace is a bonus. Walkable distance to Ginza is a nice bonus as well.

A Refined Stay in the Heart of Otemachi + The hotel offers a level of quality comparable to Four Seasons, while its design is beautifully aligned with the local architectural style. The Otemachi area is also very pleasant—clean, safe, and comfortable for walking and exploring. The only downside is that the hotel lobby is located on a high floor of the building. As a result, you need to use two different elevators to get to your room.

Excellent hard product, superior service from Eri. + Wonderful hard product but what stands out for me is the care I received from Eri at the breakfast restaurant. I was unwell during my stay with symptoms mimicking gastroparesis and Eri was both helpful and concerned about my state over the remainder of my stay. She is a real treasure and I wanted to recognize her so I gave positive feedback to Norbert, part of F&B leadership and he was a delight also. Brecht also provided great, attentive service at breakfast. We really enjoyed the food offering and gorgeous views. Room was wonderful and housekeeping did not miss a beat. They had incredible attention to detail. Cherry at the entrance of the property was super proactive, helpful and gracious. We appreciated her arranging transport for us on multiple occasions. The bell staff are also super helpful and polite. Overall great stay.

a beautiful and comfortable stay with friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere. + The hotel was beautiful, well maintained, and offered a very pleasant atmosphere. The service was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We enjoyed our time at the hotel and appreciated the hospitality we received. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience, and we would be happy to recommend it to others. A special thank you goes to MS. Airi the lady working at the bar . Incredible stay at the Four Seasons hotel Otemachi + Stayed at the four seasons hotel Otemachi in Tokyo and I have to stay the kindness and hospitality that was shown to us was truly incredible. We arrived at 6:30am because we had a very early flight and they had our room ready for us which was very nice. We did message them to tell them that our flight was going to be arriving very early in the day. The room was stunning with beautiful views of Tokyo. The hotel itself is located on the 39th through 36th floors of a very tall building in the financial area of Tokyo. It is very close to a lot of attractions as well as the imperial Palace. The decor of the hotel is absolutely stunning with breathtaking views and the most gorgeous flowers. They have two restaurants and a fabulous bar. The room was gorgeous with a beautiful large bathroom and the most comfortable bed. What makes this hotel truly special is the kindness and caring of the employees who work at the hotel. They have a beautif…

High price point + I have mixed feelings about the Four Seasons Otemachi. We've stayed at some of the top luxury hotels in the world, and the pricing at Four Seasons Otemachi still struck us as a bit outrageous; however, we decided to try the hotel anyway since we were in Tokyo and were able to get a suite using a stay 2 nights, get 1 night free offer. Regardless, we felt that our money didn't go very far, and they don't offer a club lounge for high-tier rooms, unlike other hotel brands (e.g., Fairmont, Hyatt, and other Japanese hotels we've frequented). The hotel is large and grand, yet there is an overall generic quality to it—you feel like you could be anywhere in the world. This is comforting but also made me feel like it lacked the charm of other properties we stayed at, where we felt that the Japanese culture and customs shone through more brightly and authentically. The Four Seasons hallways are way over-perfumed. I found the scent cloying and overwhelming (ditto for the bath …

As usual, Four Seasons doesn't disappoint! + We spent 11 nights here to celebrate my 45th birthday in Tokyo, our first time in Japan. The hotel made it special, with a nice message on the room window, a surprise gift from the spa and also the breakfast team, etc. The concierge team also helped us plan trips to other cities and to recommend and book nice dinners. We arrived to Tokyo with everything already planned. The concierge team behind the app were also seamless, they dont say no to any request. The room is spacious, clean, comfortable with a nice view. The massage therapists were all great. Location also very good. Seemed central to us. Only 2 small comments: They only have 2 restaurants and one of them kids were not allowed, so you don't have many in house options - which is not too bad as it actually makes you explore other places. As mentioned, the hotel recommend great restaurants around Tokyo. The second comment is to view your spending, you have to request it by email or p…

Royal treatment at the best Four Seasons in Japan + From the upgraded corner suite with commanding views of the Imperial Palace and Tokyo skyline, to the daily guests from housekeeping, to everyone from the GM to all the staff knowing our names, we could nitnhave had a better 10 day stay at FS Tokyo. Nearly brand new property and it looks it. Finishes and decor superb. Amenities all wonderful. Staff all friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Special kudos to manager Cherry, the guys in housekeeping with their thoughtful gifts, the doormen with their great tips and use of the house car (BMW 7 series no less), my family could not ask for anything more from this spectacular hotel. We started our trip at the FS in Osaka, then FS in Kyoto, and now the FS in the queen city of Tokyo and each property just got better and better. If you are in Tokyo, you must stay here.

Vacation + We had a wonderful stay at Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi. What stood out to me the most was the level of care and support from the hotel team. They went out of their way to help me with an important situation during my trip and continued assisting me even after I had already left Japan. I especially appreciate the time and effort the team put into helping me resolve everything. They certainly did not have to go as far as they did, which made their help even more meaningful to me. Beyond that, the hotel itself was excellent, and the staff were always professional, attentive and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Thank you to the entire team for taking such good care of us. I truly appreciate everything you did, and I would be very happy to stay here again on my next visit to Tokyo.

A Disappointing Stay That Made Us Reconsider Four Seasons + Polished Courtesy, but Inconsistent Hospitality Our family stayed at Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi for seven nights. We booked a suite for ourselves and a separate room for my mother, so this was a substantial family stay and gave us enough time to experience the hotel well beyond a brief first impression. Unfortunately, our experience was deeply mixed. While the staff were consistently polite on the surface, the service often felt procedural rather than genuinely thoughtful or hospitable. The most disappointing incident occurred at the indoor pool. My son, who has received swim training, was swimming laps with speed and energy. He was not shouting, running, roughhousing, or intentionally splashing anyone—he was simply swimming. Nevertheless, a staff member approached him twice and asked him to be quieter because other guests were relaxing beside the pool. After the first request, he even moved to another lane, yet h…
