Excellent staff, rooms need thorough cleaning. + The staff were so attentive and nice! They helped us to get a bike and with anything we may have needed. − There were so many steps up to our room. The rooms were not cleaned properly, the sink was leaking. The location was good it was quiet as it wasn’t too central but the path down to the hotel was extremely bumpy. There were also flies and ants in the room.

Superb + Great location 10min outside of Ubud so nice and quiet. You will need to Grab or a scooter to get around though. − Could do with some fresh paint in the room.

Ni de broma vayas a este lugar + El peor hotel en el que me he hospedado en toda mi vida. Las sabanas tenian manchas por todos lados, incluyendo unas que parecían sangre. Las paredes chorreadas. Los muebles sucios, el baño olia a orines de meses. Cero aseso y cero mantenimiento. Era una reserva de 6 noches y solo me quede la primera ya que llegue a media noche. Inmediatamente despertando nos cambiamos a otro hotel

Good + Great accommodation, staff were excellent. Nice pool. Room was enormous and very comfortable.. Couple of nice restaurants nearby, especially Balinese Home Cooking, 5 minute walk. − Location, quite remote so needed a taxi to go anywhere.

+ Our group of 2 kids and 2 adults (Mum and Grandma) stayed 3 nights. We wish we'd stayed longer, or transferred from Kuta earlier. We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa with private pool, and felt the whole experience was restful and relaxing. The pool was lovely, and the set up of the villa with 2 separate bedrooms and an open living space was nice. The property is quite secluded but does still have a bit of local traffic/activity noise as the villa is located at the front. That would be something to consider if you are fussy sleepers. However, most of the noise was actually wildlife-related, including some friendly frogs and birds. We found this quite charming and it added to the 'retreat' feel. The property is a little out of the way, only a short distance from the town centre by readily-available taxi. However, we noted that exploring on foot was quite treacherous for children and older people, given busy traffic and complete lack of road berm/pedestrain pavements in the area. Great …

A health risk + The people were nice. − The room was thick with black mould. Sheets and towels were dirty.

Nice area, but needs an overhaul and checklists for cleaning and supply of consumables + We returned for the 4 th year like the area − Same issues with driveway, musky room, could not breathe had to be moved to another room. Asked daily for toilet paper, it was ridiculous, places need new netting and curtains, never been cleaned. No hand towels, bath towels are so old they are falling to bits, all rooms need to be scrubbed with hot soapy water and some elbow grease, ventilation fans need to be cleaned regularly to get rid of mould.

Disappointed, we decided to leave two days early despite all the money we paid. + The staff were friendly, the bed was comfortable and shower was quite big. − We booked the private pool villa however the pool was not private and could be viewed by anyone in the entrance, there was also cameras on the pool. We were told we could get breakfast at the property which wasn’t true. The reception was out for two days of our stay. The listing says free shuttle around ubud area but that was also not true. When I arrived I had to pay over $100 more than what I was supposed to.

Avoid at all cost. No joke. − Where do I even begin. I never really wrote a bad review, or a let alone a review. Here we go. We booked Puri Payogan for 2 weeks 1 year in advance and based on the pictures we were beyond excited. It was such an insane disaster that we did not even stay a single night after checking in. It was extremely dirty, extremely moldy, very dirty bathtub, 1 almost finished toilet paper by the toilet. The mold is coming in so hard its pushing the paint off the wall man.. You can't miss it. Why nobody did anything? I swear no one cleaned this room, nobody cared about anything, dirty windows, dirty glass. Hot water knob was missing from the bath, there was no hot water and we were told "you can't use hot water, mabe fix tomorrow" no one told us about that before hand and they knew. And MAYBE? Very dirty pillows on the bed, outside pool is very very dirty like there was fog in the water like you wouldn't wanna get anywhere near it. After seeing all this there was a g…
