Clean luxurious welcoming and friendly + The staff were extremely nice and welcoming. We stayed in a one bedroom villa with private pool. There was a comfortable large bed. The room was clean and comfortable well maintained. Clean sheets with clean towels. Very happy with the private pool. Air con worked well with ceiling fan. All amenities in the room worked and well maintained. − There is a sand walkway to the villas.

Friendly staff, but not quite a 5-star experience + The staff were very friendly, always smiling, and happy to help with anything. I really liked that the room was equipped with Alexa – being able to play music made it feel more like home and was very convenient. The location is great, and communication with the staff via WhatsApp was quick and easy. − It didn’t really feel like a 5-star hotel. The tap water had a very unpleasant smell, so strong that our hands still smelled after washing them. Because of this, we ended up using bottled water even for basic things. Unfortunately, the complimentary bottled water provided by the hotel also seemed to have the same smell, so we didn’t feel comfortable drinking it. The pool water was extremely cold, making it unpleasant to swim. The pool area also wasn’t ideal for relaxing, as the sun loungers were constantly covered with ants. We also received a complimentary 15-minute massage with our booking, but it was by far the worst massage we had…

Sehr besonderer und schöner Aufenthalt. + Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich, egal was man benötigt hat, sie haben sich angestrengt es so schnell wie möglich zu besorgen/buchen,… Es ist in einer eher ruhigen Gegend, und wenn man eher ruhe mag dann ist es der perfekte Standort, aber nur ca. 15min mit dem Mopped ist man am Strand/Clubs/Bars,… − Das neu gebaute Gebäude bzw die neu gebauten Villen sind auf der anderen Straßenseite, direkt an einer Kurve. Natürlich kann sich nicht jemand den ganzen Tag drum kümmern das man sicher über die Straße kommt, und als erwachsener vollkommen machbar, aber mit Kindern sicher blöd, denn das frühstück ist im “alten” Gebäude.

Traveling solo can sometimes feel lonely, but from the very moment I arrived, the incredible team made me feel like I had gained an entire family in Bali. What truly separates Astera from other luxury properties isn’t just the beautiful villas,it’s the people. Every single time I walked through the lobby, even if I had only stepped out for 20 minutes, the staff would stand up with genuine smiles, greet me warmly by name, ask how my day was going, compliment my outfits, and make me feel like the most important guest in the resort. Overall, a nice hotel with a few areas that could use some improvement. + The staff was very courteous and always in a good mood; they were always available via WhatsApp and very helpful. The room was beautiful, clean, and filled with natural light. We even got offered a floating breakfast. 😊 Great location, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. − We didn't like the sandy path leading to the room, and the private pool and hot tub weren't clean enough. The pool was even a bit greenish—we switched rooms because of that, but the second one had the same problem, so we didn't feel like complaining anymore. We didn’t like the breakfast system: You had to choose your meal and specify the time one day in advance (which is actually okay, since it reduces waste), but you could only choose one item, and some of the portions were a bit too small. Also, the restaurant doesn’t offer cappuccino or similar drinks—just black coffee made with a French press.
