Good location and friendly staff. Good beds. Comfortable rooms. + Lovely gardens and good rooms. Comfortable beds. Clean and well maintained. We had a room with a fridge but not all do. Good breakfast. Recommend.

+ We love coming here as our initial stop before we venture throughout bali and then return for a couple of days before leaving. People who come here come back for years. The staff are amazing and the grounds are always beautifully maintained. We like how central you are but it's also quiet. If you don't want to be in the hussle of kuta and the like this is a great alternative.

+ Great location, close to everything. Nice and quiet as its set back off the main street. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. − It would be nice to have hand towels and some glasses in room. Some of the linen is old and can be replaced.

First time, but not the last time! + The location was ideal. Although it right on Jl Legian, there is no street noise and it’s a lovely garden oasis just 50m from the busyness of the main Street. Very clean, quiet and good aircons. Breakfast was a good choice. The dragonfruit bowls were my favourite. − Nothing; any minor problems (like the rattling fridge) were fixed first time we asked.

+ My second time at matahari, always a beautiful stay. The pool is my favourite part, the staff are very attentive, friendly and happy to be there, it has everything you need you wouldnt need to leave the property. So quiet considering the location on the main road. Rooms are being upgraded but for the price the room is all you need. The breakfast is great. Good coffee. Able to leave our bags in the lobby after check in. Security always at the front greeting and saying goodbye.

In general we enjoyed our stay and tranquility of the hotel. + The breakfast was adequate and coffee good. The service was excellent. The showers nice and hot. The room was clean. − Our toilet never flushed properly. So we manually flushed by removing the top of the cistern. Maybe some components of the hotel need to be maintained and replaced.

+ The staff are sweet, caring and wonderful. The pool was amazing, food yummy.. − Tiles atr quite slippery when wet.. other than that, highly recommend. We travel to Bali every year and usually stay at another hotel, but will definitely be staying at Matahari moving forward :) loved it! The staff created a wonderful experience and were very accomodating, very family friendly with lush gardens, great for the kiddies as well. 5 🌟
