Lovely, stylish & friendly boutique hotel/resort + The staff went out of their way to make our (family of 5) stay as pleasant as possible. The hotel has a great atmosphere with its Balinese style and intimate layout that still offers privacy.

Family stay in Ubud + A perfect spot to explore the sights of Ubud. Located a little outside the main centre you are cloistered away from the hustle and bustle of the town and associated traffic. An easy walk into town but the staff are always willing to shuttle you in as well. Friendly staff, clean, comfortable along with an amazing Balinese feel. A great place for couples or families.

Great service, good location and a very nice room + Hotel staff have been wonderful throughout our 3 night stay. We thought the hotel location was ideal; it's out of the hustle and bustle of central Ubud but walking distance to it and they offer a shuttle service to the town centre. There was a complimentary afternoon treat every day and we got free tickets and drop off and pick up to the Rudana museum.

Beautiful luxury in Ubud + Amazing location, walking distance to downtown Ubud and Alchemy restaurant. Safe and beautiful premises. I couldn’t believe how affordable room service was. My kids loved it all. The only challenge was front desk staff at times didn’t speak English.

Lovely stay at the Sungu + We had a great stay at The Sungu. Firstly they happily picked us up from the airport late in the evening, 5 hours later than initially arranged due to changed flights. Our room was beautiful and clean. Breakfast was delicious, and so was the afternoon tea and cake. There is a shuttle in and out of Ubud central at any time you like, even though it really is close enough to walk. Overall we had a lovely stay and I would happily return to The Sungu.

Love love love loveeee ! + Resort was just amazing, felt like we were at home and was very welcomed. The stuff were very helpful and so friendly. Would 100% recommend this location was everything is so close to the resort and is very affordable. Wifi had noooo issues which was a surprise worked everyday. And the bedroom was just so comforting.

+ The property was exceptionally beautiful. The pools were amazing. The staff other than the reception clerk when we checked-in were very good and helpful. He had to be told to help us with the luggage and I carried a couple myself.

+ I checked into the hotel only to find the bed sheets were filled with blood stains, bug marks, and general filth. It was clear the room and bed had not been cleaned. Upon contacting the front desk about the situation, asking to have either the sheets cleaned or to check if a different room was available, I was told nothing could be done today and I’d have to wait until tomorrow - before being hung up on. I immediately checked out, and yet they still won’t process my refund through Expedia despite not even using the room whatsoever. Immensely dissapointed, you can find so much better - and cleaner - in Ubud. Not having blood stains should be the bare minimum!

+ This resort could be so good, but it is let down by out of date facilities. The gardens are beautiful and grounds are great, but become slippery and are not lit up well at night. The rooms are not well sound proofed and the surrounding area is noisy all night. We moved to a back villa, but could hear the neighbours even at low talking volume and when they climbed their stairs it felt like they were in our room. The staff are very friendly and, but some were over keen to sell us extra tours and services.
