Perfect relaxing jungle experience close to central Ubud. + If you are looking for a villa to explore Ubud and more northern parts of Bali, look no more. We had a very nice 7 day stay here. The atmosphere, the jungle and the very nice staff, made us feel like we were in paradise. The inside of the villa is clean, the shower and bed is perfect, and you can of course expect some Bali insects here and there, but I was very surprised how few we actually encountered. We had our own pool, and there is also a larger pool at the main area of the hotel, and you even find a third pool at the spa area. Perfect spot for small families and couples, both if you want to relax and explore. It´s only 15 min. drive from central Ubud, surrounded by the nicest rice fields, and you are able to walk to two waterfalls nearby. They also provide free rides to central Ubud every day. + Das Hotel liegt wunderschön mitten im Dschungel und bietet eine tolle Atmosphäre für alle, die Ruhe und Natur suchen. Unser Zimmer war ausreichend groß und der Gemeinschaftspool ist wirklich wunderschön und mit einer traumhaften Aussicht. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist auch das freundliche und stets höfliche Personal. Der private Pool ist zwar sehr nett zum ansehen. Mehr aber auch nicht. Es gibt keine Liegen zum entspannen, dies habe ich auch gleich beim Bezug des Zimmers bemängelt und gefragt ob es möglich wäre Liegen zu bekommen. Nein, es war nicht möglich! Außerdem ist es komplett Überdacht und es kommt somit keine Sonne hin.. − Der größte Kritikpunkt ist das Frühstück. Statt eines Buffets muss man bereits am Vortag genau 1Hauptspeise+ 1 Saft pro Pers. von der Karte auswählen. Dazu 1 Stück Brot mit Butter, 1 Obstteller und 1 kleines Dessert – das war's. Falls man Eier Benedikt bestellt werden diese bereits auf einem Brot serviert und es gibt dann kein weiteres Stück Bro…

Wonderful gem in Ubud + Wonderful stay in the middle of nature We had a fantastic stay at Alam Ubud. Our villa with a private pool was beautiful and offered the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Bali. The entire property feels like it is hidden away in the jungle, surrounded by lush greenery and nature. There are quite a few stairs throughout the resort, but it is absolutely worth it. You have to give up a little convenience to stay in such a unique and beautiful location. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful, and at night you can hear the sounds of nature and animals in the surrounding jungle. We found it very serene and slept extremely well. The staff deserve special recognition. Everyone was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and service-oriented. Nothing ever seemed to be too much trouble, and they genuinely go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. + Die Unterkunft liegt sehr schön und der Ausblick ist wunderschön. Auch der öffentliche Pool und unser privater Pool waren super. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und bemüht. − Die Unterkunft brächte dringend Renovierungen. Gerade zu dem Preis steht es in keinem Verhältnis. Unsere Zimmer waren groß aber haben sehr gestunken. Auch die Bemühungen vom Hotel, dies mit Duftstäbchen zu überdecken, funktionierte nicht. Es hat muffig und ekelhaft gerochen. Wir hatten Kakerlaken in den Zimmern und die Bäder waren auch nicht ganz sauber. Für den Preis wirklich eine Frechheit. Das Essen war in Ordnung. Wir waren froh als wir wieder weg waren.

En lille skuffelse - desværre + Det her sted ligger ret isoleret, og der er en dejlig ro og utroligt søde mennesker, der er klar til at hjælpe med alt. Vores villa var stor og med fin pool og et lille hyggeligt 'lysthus'. Den store fællespool lå rigtig flot, og er stor nok til reel svømning - nok den største vi har oplevet på hele vores tur. Hyggeligt med naturpool og platform til morgenyoga lige ved den brusende flod. − Stedet kom nok ikke helt ind under huden på os. Der var en lidt mat stemning på en måde. Noget irriterende 'musak' ved morgenmaden, ikke mange mennesker. Den slags. Der er egentlig en ret skøn vibe af 1930'erne med fin udsmykning og gamle fotos. Men det virker også... gammelt. Et par eksempler; vores parasol ved egen pool lignede noget fra 1930'erne, der lugtede af mug på 2 ud af 3 værelser i villaen, og brædderne ved fællespoolen skulle være skiftet for flere år siden. Ja, jeg troede nok, vi havde booket noget, der var lidt mere eksklusivt (også prisen taget i betrag…

Disappointing Stay Despite Lovely Staff + The staff − We stayed for four nights in a private pool villa. Unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing. The main positive was the staff, who were genuinely kind, welcoming and helpful. The villa was not well maintained. There were gaps underneath the entrance door and around the pool door, allowing bugs to enter, and we had to cover the gaps ourselves. The bathroom sink was unstable, and the uneven flooring made walking inside the villa feel unsteady and unsafe. Overall, the layout and condition of the villa did not feel comfortable or relaxing. We also did not feel comfortable using the private pool as it was directly next to dense trees and vegetation, making us concerned about insects or other small creatures entering the pool area. Breakfast only started at 8:00 am, with limited choices. Although it was nicely prepared and presented by the staff, we felt the quality of the ingredients could have been better. The daily dr…
