+ The room was excellent. It is the same as in the photos. The breakfast was excellent. The location itself is very accessible. Very easy to go to the beach front and restaurants. It is also very near to the Beachwalk Mall. − The room I got was a long walk from the lift. And my room was located near the construction area. I could hear them in the afternoon. Oh, and there was no hair dryer in my room.

+ The room I got is perfect. I was on the ground floor and my balcony is close to the pool and the restaurant. The photos of the room is the same in reality.

Stay and Grand Barong Resort + Our room had pool access which was fabulous. Location was great, shops, cafes walking distance. − Bathroom small, moldy. Small rooms.

Our relaxing break. + Room very comfortable but getting a bit dated. Safe was at ground level which made it very hard to get to it to use. Had to sit on the floor everytime Pool was beautiful and breakfast was about a 7/10 but always plenty there. − Safe on the floor Very hard for older people.

Comfortable stay over, well kept older property. + Close to shops/ restaurants and airport. Rooms comfortable/ good breakfasts and pleasant staff. − Poppies lane 11 crowded and difficult for pedestrian traffic/ motor bike and motor vehicle traffic.

Convenient & Friendly but no thrills + Staff were amazing and so helpful with our request for a late checkout despite being fully booked. Location is great. − No where to sit and relax in the room, just the bed or a seat with no back. Bathrooms on our 2nd stay where better as they had the hand held shower, first stay only had the rain head and these are not ideal for when you don’t want to wet your hair. We had twin beds pushed together, this was ok, but the beds were made with 2 doonas rather than one large one, if possible, one large one would be more ideal.

+ Staff were lovely − Unfortunately we did not enjoy our stay. The property itself is showing its age and needs some proper updating. The music from the pool bar was very loud. It started at about 10am to 8pm. Also construction on the property next door started at 9am to 6pm every day. Constant hammering and loud music from the pool bar was very stressful. Also very dusty, nothing felt clean as everything had a film of dust on it.
